Hey guys, This is exactly what I needed to read today. I was banded in December and have only lost 22 lbs. Yes, it is good , but not as good as I would like. I am also eating off track, it definitly is the head that needs a band along with the stomach. And another thing that is very strange is one day you can eat somthing, and the next you can not eat the exact same thing. I have found the easter candy too:cursing:!!! I really have to concentrate on eating better. And of course i can not get myself to excercise. This is such a struggle for me. It sucks. I feel that my band is working, I am just pushing it to much and therefore am not loosing anymore weight. Also for me i know that I can not wait to long to eat, or I go crazy. The thing is you still have the hunger pangs, and you feel like you have to have that and more right now!! I also eat to fast still, and take to big of bites. It is great to read these comments and get other peoples thoughts when you are food crazed:cursing:. Kep up the good work all!!!! April -

Well guys, Thanks for all the posts, this is definitly where i am. I have had my second fill, but not to much restriction. Yes, ice cream and chocolate go down very well, but i can sit at lunch and get some stupid little piece of cooked carrot stuck!!!!!!OMG. And of course my family will ask , Oh, have you lost anymore weight? And of course i have to say no, and they think that i am just sloughing off agin like every other diet i have been on. It really is the same feeling. I hate it!!!! I know they do not have faith that i will loose weight. Just like all the other times. Get all psyched up and do real well for awile then, right back to the same thing!!:tongue2: I am very discouraged right now. Please help. -

Hi I am a little over two months out of surgery and am having trouble with constipation. I never had any problems before surgery. Can anyone share what they do for these symptoms. I do not think we can take fiber because it expands in the pouch right? Any help would be appreciated. April:mellow::confused2::biggrin:

Hi Restricted, Can you just give a little run down of what you are doing? Are you feeling hungry? Are you eating real small portions, when you eat? Are you excercising? Great job!!!!! -

Hi guys, I was banded 12/18/08 and am doing good with weight loss, but i need some help. when i eat i can eat probable up to 2 cups of food. Not at every meal, but maybe once a day. What my question is, is do you think i will stretch my pouch. That scares me. I have not had a fill yet, but i can certainly eat more that the 1/2 cup or whatever. Will people please give me some feedback on this. Do you really ever know if your pouch is stretched? And will it effect you after you start to get your fills? Thanks guys, I appreciate any input. Hi Guys, My name is April, and I am from Longmont, CO. I have been reading here at this site for several months now, and decided to have the Lap-Band surgery. I applied with my insurance(Kaiser), it was easy, basic questions. I was accepted to the program, but then they say it will be 6-8 months wait, so I say well okay, it will be 6-8 till the surgery, but as I asked more questions, I found out it will be 6-8 months before I can even start their PROGRAM!!!!! Then at that point they will schedule everything for me, consultations and surgeons visits, and you also have to go through 8 weekly classes and pay 120.00 for the classes. So I was excited to be accepted to the program, but totally bummed that I have to wait so long. I am researching going to Mexico or, there is a doctor here that does the surgery for the Mexico prices. But that of course means that you have to go into debt to pay for your surgery. I aqm sad, and feel hopeless about my weight now. I am 51 plus BMI, and the absolute biggest I have ever been. It is just sickening :angry. Evidently at the time that I was accepted for the surgery, ther were 300 people on the list ahead of me and Kaiser only had one surgeon doing the surgery in the Denver area:eek:. That is so whack!!!! This is Kaiser Permanente. Well, I could probable write a book right now, but I will sign off for now. It would be really great to hear from some of you. Maybe it will keep me motivated to keep writing. :phanvan Where to go from here. I don't want more than a yeear to have this done. Thanks April
