  1. It does get better. I am an admitted "chugger". Or was. I can, at times drink more than others, but you have to listen to your new you and learn when to stop. Welcome to the club.

    Calories?

I focused on Proteins first, then hydration. Small bites, chew a lot(mush). After 12 days I was going crazy not chewing- for awhile you think you have lost that skill- but don't worry. Gum helps. Just don't swallow the gum!!! ???€ You don't have hardly any restriction at this time, other than what was in your band when placed. You will gain some weight back before your first couple of fills then you will be doing fine. You should be fine with what you ate.

    Morning Slime

Thanks- saw my Dr today. He took out 1cc and I could eat tonight with no slime. I'm in the green zone now and my Dr is happy with where I am- I am also pleased. I've been so good- I see this as a life change and not just a quick fix like some may think. I'm in such a better place than before my surgery. Small bites, lots of chewing and adjusting attitude. Thanks again. I feel sooo much better.

    Morning Slime

I have been 13 months post banding (6 fills) and I slime tons every meal and usually cannot eat without regurgitating- unless it is liquid like soup. I may go for 2-3 days like that them all of the sudden I can eat fine for a meal or two. I'm becoming frustrated with this issue. I have to almost always excuse myself at dinner to go and regurgitate multiple times. It's usually not the food, rather its the "saliva or slime" as I have read on here. Any suggestions??
