I have had similar experiences, my band was placed on 9/27/13 and I have had several fills and the majority of them are very painful that require multiple sticks and end in lots of blood. I have asked about there being a issue with it because I have been told it should not be that difficult and the most they think is that it is laying sideways and because they can eventually access it nothing has been done. Yesterday was the worst, I was having issues so they took fluid out first time was fine but didn't feel relief so they went for a second time and it was horrible, lots of pressing and pain 2 needles because 1 bent and ended with bleeding through my band aid and clothes.

I had 6 cc in my band and I was finally starting to loose weight. In the 6 months that I have had my band I have only lost 26lbs which I know is better than nothing and everyone is different but reading everyone's stories and talking to people I feel like It should be so much more.

tes ago I had my band placed 6 months ago on Sept. 27th I did have some healing issues and excess Fluid around the band and port site but all has seemed to resolve, they do still have a heck of a time accessing my port but are not overly concerned. I had my last fill a month ago which put me in the green zone and I have been doing great loosing 16lbs in that month. 4 days ago, I felt like I hit a brick wall, I became very nauseous,stomach discomfort,some vomiting, alot of indigestion and acid reflux. I couldn't eat anything without feeling the need to be sick and drinking started to become an issue. I called my surgeon today and they brought me in, at first they thought I may be too tight which I did not think was the case because I have had that before and this was a different feeling. To rule everything out they removed 2.5cc of fluid which was very painful,I felt a little better but still not right so they scheduled me for a Upper GI on Wednesday.Has anyone had anything similar happen, I am starting to feel very discouraged??

I am so happy to be reading this and knowing that I am not the only person out there feeling this way. I had my band placed on Sept 27th and I am still working with my surgeon to reach that green zone which I am getting close to but I still feel like I should have accomplished so much more. I will keep a positive attitude and make this year the best yet, happy new year and good luck on your journey!!

I just received my authorization from my Insurance company on Friday and am due to see my surgeon Thursday for a pre op weigh in and to get a surgery date. I was curious if anyone had a lap band performed by Dr. Gary Bunch in Bradenton Florida, this is my surgeon I am very pleased to date and was just curious about anyone else's experiences?
