To be completely honest I have no idea what size band I have or how much fluid. Ive never asked but I just had a fill last week and he said that was the last one with .5 cc and were going down to less after that.

So I get discouraged all the time because ive lost 45 lbs and I feel like you cant even tell that ive lost the weight. Yes the major reason I got the surgery was to get healthy but lets all face it, we wanna look better too. Anyways last week I had my favorite pair of jeans on and the button popped off when I was adjusting and I had no other cleann jeans so I found a pair of jeans that I had put away before my surgery because they were extremely tight, well I put them on and they were so big I couldnt even wear then!! Seeing that made me so happy! Then today I was in the bathroom and my grandparents have one of those scales that only goes to a certain weight and I haven't been able to step on that scale in I dont remember how long and it didnt say error for the first time!! I was so ecstatic I started crying! So all I wanted to say is its the little things that matter. Those little things are what keeps me motivated to keep making the right choices!

Im just curious how many fills people have gotten to get to their green zone. Ive had 4 now and I still feel like I need another one but I also feel like im having a lot of fills. Im doing good on my weight loss (lost 45 lbs since September) but I still feel hungry in between meals. Ill eat and get full and then an hour later be hungry again. So it would help if I knew of other peoples experiences. Thanks in advance!

Thank you for your reply. It has helped put my mind at ease. Im just extra paranoid since last time I saw him it wasnt good news and now its like what else is gonna go wrong? But thank you very much! I hope its nothing!

So I had my surger on September 24th and then had to have it revised on november 12th because my port flipped. Well ive been fine and losing weight but im starting to feel some pain right below my left breast. Its not major pain but it hurts if I lay on that side or bend over. I see my doctor in the morning but im paranoid and wont sleep thinking about it. Has anyone experienced this? I read that it could be a sign on slippage but I have no other symptoms at all. Anyways any insight would help! Thanks!

Had My Band Revised Today!
micki91 replied to micki91's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Thank you -
So I had to get a band revision because my band had flipped itself. Well I had it about 10 this morning the surgery only took about 20 min and I woke up about 11 and I was worried because when I woke up from the surgery the first time I freaked out! But I woke up feeling great!! They did use the gas so no gas pains yay!!! Im still feeling pretty good...just a little sore at the incision site. Also, they found out my band was flipped when I went to get my first fill so I wasnt able to get my fill so today they went ahead and gave me my first fill! I could not be happier right now! thanks to everyone for the support because I know when I first found out I was a mess but I got through it! Now back to the weight loss!!

And thank you Carolinagirl...you are so right!

Well at the time I was overly sensitive because I was emotional from everything. I admit it. I wasnt looking to be "coddled" I was looking to see if anyone was having the same issues which my issue turned out to be my band flipped itself which I had a second surgery today to fix it. Not looking for anyone to feel sorry for me. I have a mother for that I was just looking for someone who had gone through the same thing or if anyone has gone through it and had to get a revise and could give me some advise that would be great cause I havent heard of it happening to very many people. Anyways have a fantastic day!

I'm getting frustrated
micki91 replied to vincereautmori's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I didnt have many issues with appointments but I got very stressed. First I was freaking out because I had to pay 4000 out of pocket and they wanted it paid off within 6 months and along with my other bills I just could not afford it, after I figured that out....2 weeks before my surgery date I found out that my job was switching insurance companies the day of my surgery!! I was a wreck because I thought anytime something good happened something else went wrong! But my doctor agreed to do the surgery a week earlier and everything turned out great! The stress is well worth it in the long run. When you start losing the weight you will believe it too -
It went great!! It was quick and easy only about a 20 min procedure and luckily they did use gas so bo gas pains only a little sore at the port site. Im feeling pretty good now
-
So as I posted before I healed wrong after surgery and have to go back into surgery I was just waiting on insurance approval...well they called today and I got approved! I go back in for surgery on Tuesday! I can get back on the road to a better future!
-
I stayed off a week and im a dsp so I have a semi strenuous job and I was perfectly fine after a week...nervous but fine

I realize this is a STUPID question but...
micki91 replied to Corridor72's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine actually flipped...waiting for insurance approval to fix it but yeah he explained to me why it happened but I was too upset to really understand it. They say it probably happens to about 4 people a year and im like of course it would happen to me! But anyways sometimes it just happens
