slbparaz replied to Florida Joe's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Funny that you propose that question... I was banded three weeks ago and the last fee days I have wanted a glass of wine or champaign. -
I was banded on Monday 9/30... The last two days have been an emotional roller coaster. I am finding my self depressed and tired. I feel like I want to climb in a hole and hide. For once in my life I don't want to eat, I have had no issues with keep foods or liquids down. Any suggestions?

Yesterday, day five for me. I was a emotional mess. I sobbed for a couple of hours which is not like me, the last time I cried was over 10 years ago when my grandmother passed. This is an emotional roller coaster.... More of a mind game I'm starting to think. Us newbies just need to band together and support each other.

New here I get my band 10/17/13

The liquid diet can be a challenge. I made sure with my broth that I could add different seasonings, and hot sauce... Something to mix it up. Also sugar free Popsicles really helped on the nights you want to eat solid food. -

Roller coaster ride of emotions
slbparaz replied to Magyk's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded on Monday, I asked myself all the same things. How did I get to this point? How did I fail (failure is a hard pill for me to swallow). Now I focus on my new goal. I found that ensure clear was a great thing to drink during the clear phase. Hang in there and focus on the new you. -

Thank you for the supportive words. I have been taking short walks, it is still warm in the afternoons here. I have also been spending time on Pinterest looking for new soup recipes since I will never be able to eat chicken broth again.

I'm a 6 days out and feel the the same way. I find. That occupying my time reading blogs ( as sick as this sounds my favorite is called 300 sandwiches, I focus in the story not the food) or finding new games to play on my iPad have helped. I also go and take walks around outside.
