hi my name is crissy and i started researching wls after a friend at work had her first appointment with weight loss surgery centers in council bluffs, ia. i decided to start the process for the lap band after researching all options because the lap band is the least invasive and reversible if absolutely necessary. i had my first visit on june 20, 2013 and had my last pre op required insurance visit and my last nutrition call on sept 3, 2013. now i am just waiting on final insurance approval and am praying and hoping for an october 14th surgery date or sometime that calender week. i am so excited to start this new venture of my life and am very nervous at the same time. i lost over 50 lbs before beginning my wls journey so i know that the lap band is just going to help me continue on and maintain all the hard work i have put in. my friend and i are going through this journey together and i am so thankful to have someone else to support me on top of all my family and friends.
