My journey is a little longer then most of y'all but I'm still going thru with the process anyway. One of the things that my insurance required was the last 5 years oh being overweight from a docters office. I was alittle worried cause I didn't know if I could provide that. Needless to say They were able to get what they needed. They got a total of 6 years worth of medical records that I've been over weight .true results called me to let me know. Now all I have left is the 4 nut. Visit pysh eval and blood work EKG .. But most if that will happen after the first if the year. I'm just relieved . Even though I have almost a year to wait.

Hi I also have to wait one year ,actually till June 2014, but I've started my process already . I just went to my second visit. I'm not doing my eval until January so that anything that I put in will go towards my deductible but I've started my nut . Visits . After January I will start my eval, EKG , blood work.. I'm being very patient and learning in the mean while. I'm glad I'm not the only one having to wait. Oh one more thing is my insurance advocate told me that every year the insurance changes and in January if something chances and says that we only need 3 visits instead of six , then I would be thru . Anyway anything can chance. But as of now it don't look like I'll get a surgery dat till next July . And that's if my insurance approves it. I'm very positive . I've got my 5 years of medical records of being over weight. I think that was the hardest . I didn't think I could get proof but I did. Now I'm just taking day by day and trying to learn ,change some of my eating habits . Good luck with ur journey we may be going thru this at the same time.

I'm not even close to being banded yet it's gonna take a while because my insurance says I have to be on insurance a year . But I'm am still going thru the process have my second visit on the October 23 , with my nutritionist . My question is I work the night shift I'm trying now to change my habits on eating does any one else work nights and if so what do u suggests on what u can eat.. I always seem hungry and I just don't know what's the good times to eat.

Don't feel bad I've started this journey last month . I've got 5 more visits , February being my last one . Then still got to wait June for them to even submit my paper work. That's 8 months away. And that's even if my insurance approves it. But in the mean while I'm going on with my everyday life and trying to make changes now. Also to prepare my self mentally also. I'm also looking at it as I'm going every month to see a doc and getting test that I would like to see anyway like the EKG and my liver . Now that I'm getting older I'm like to know what going on with my self anyway . So good luck on ur journey ...

Well I'm trying to get in a habit now. I stared drinking a protein shake before I went to bed . That' worked good I'm going to start that again. I have to be honest I've been eating a taco after I get off work . I know it's not good but I'm going to work on changing that now. As far as eating I will start packing some carrots or something . That's a good idea . Thanks for advise

Well got a call today that I was positive for sleep apnea ,, I know u have to get a cpap so I'm wanting to know how is it sleeping with something on ur face?? I sleep crazy and all over the place how will this work??

Aww man that really gets me, I'm sorry u r going they that I couldn't imagine losing my dog or cat.. Prayers sent ur way.. He will no longer suffer anymore . I hope u r ok too..

Well that very brave for u to say , but u should be proud of ur self but I kinda know what ur going thru. I know this may sound dumb but I remember losing 50 pounds at one time and I looked at my face and started thinking I'm to skinny I can't look like this . I actually want to gain weight again cause I wasn't use to seeing my self like this.. Unfortunately I did gain weight again. I know I can't handle the way I look now.. I was just woundeing has anyone else here that has hit faze where u were almost scared to see that skinny person inside come out?? And again congratulations on ur weight lost !!!

I'm new and Made my mind up that I want this, ive called my insurance and they pay 75% . I'm going on Friday for my very first visit in San Antonio at true results can anyone tell me what to expect??

Yea I'm about an hour away from sa .im pretty excited about its good to see someone else going to the same place.I've still got along ways to go but I'm ready ..

I have to see the nutritionist 4 more times once a month then I still have to do a pych eval , blood work and EKG . My first visit I had a physical and they checked my lungs. Had to blow in some machine.. Anyhow my last visit is in February . Then I have to wait till June cause my insurance requires I be on Insrance for a year.. I've been learning a lot on here . I wish u god luck also and keep us posted!!
