Kathy (the best me) is being banded today
paula replied to TrishS's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
**just thinking about you Kathy** Trish, Ive been thinking about her too - and definatley prayed for her. Im sure she is out of sugery by now... what do you think? -
This is the only reason that I like moving periodically! Total clean out!
-
In all honesty - I so admire you and the others that can run. When I even attempt to run (for example, chasing the kids) my boobs nearly kill me... so I cant imagine running on a street for any distance. That would be self inflicting harm!
-
How lucky she is to have a daughter as a nurse! Big hugs to you and your mom... God bless!
-
ohhh, I am so happy for you! SMART planning Kelly! Glad you are back, weve missed you

Trouble keeping things down

Hi Val, Im from Lake Charles too! Try having warm liquids instead of cold. Warm things seem to sooth the tummy better then the cold stuff. Good luck! -
Good luck Sharon!!! ...at the speed of a gazelle. Wow! Thats fast!
-
(big sigh of relief) Thank you so much for giving us your test results!
-
You deserve to be HAPPY on this day... wish we could be with you to Celebrate. Hope you end up smiling... its YOUR day! Best best wishes, girl!!!! We LOVE you!!!!

Penni, Here's to MANY MANY MANY MANY years of a happy healthy banded life! What an awesome inspiration you are to ALL of us... God bless you!
-
Wow Michelle... look at this awesome journey - its already a year!? Great job!!! You are truly an inspiration to me... God bless you!
-
Mary, I agree - you need to at least call your PCP! Face rashes can mean lots of things... some facial rashes mean nothing - but some mean a VERY big something! I just re-read your post, and this isnt a rash, its a dark spot... yep! Id call a MD and get their opinion. Please let us know!

My closet has shirts and dresses from size xl to 26. At this point in my weight loss, its time for me to clean it out... cant wear 3/4's of it! Now, Im NOT a sentimental person, but I am poor - and clothes are expensive! So in the back of my mind I keep thinking that I need to bag these things that are too big and store them - dont get rid of any of it - because my band may break, erode, slip - whatever my mind can think of - ultimately gaining this weight back and THEN having no clothes to wear. Anyone else going through this?
-
Wow... I almost missed your special day. Hope you are having a great one!!!
-
This is for those of you that have NEVER eaten crawfish or even know what they look like. Some people call them mudbugs, crawdads... but we call them crawfish!
-
Oops Crystal... so so very sorry!
-
Lisa, yes, we 'devein' crawfish too - just like shrimp! And NO - no eating the eyeballs... again, just like shrimp! When you suck the crawfish head, its for the juice/flavor that was collected in that area.... not the crawfish parts (nor their 'brains' that Kathy mentioned). Look, just make a trip down here so me and Nicole can show you this!!!! (lol) Someone asked about boiling them... we fill the pot with Water, then add a seasoning mix(I think the kind we use is Zatarans - or maybe its Tony Chachere's *Im looking at the bottle - http:// www.tonychachere.com). FYI- We buy our live crawfish in sacks of 35lbs each from an independent seller (not at Walmart or any place like that)... once we bring the 'sack' home, we put them into a large ice chest(s) and 'wash' them. After they are clean, they are ready for the pot.

Hi Lisa, I think this is a great idea!
