Christine, I am very sorry to hear this. *PLEASE* contact your surgeons office and explain all of this to them. Gerd is NOT something "you just live with". Gerd is an acid from the stomach that is used to digest your food. This "acid" can cause band erosion, esophogus cancer and many other harmful problems. I strongly encourage you to call your doctor NOW! It is NOT normal if you have been able to count the number of times you have successfully eaten a solid! This is NOT a true weightloss that the band has been designed for. A very small unfill can make a BIG difference. (((hugs))) Please keep us posted, but in the meantime - CALL YOUR SURGEONS OFFICE!!!!!

Diane, I live in SW Louisiana, and Spiegel did mine too ACTUALLY - my goal weight is 150, but since Id never thought Id see that number, I changed it to 170... another -10 and I may change it back to 150. Who knows? Are you doing ok? did you have your surgery in Nederland or Houston?

Next Monday, Labor Day will only be 10 weeks away! Anyone wanna go for -10 in 10 weeks? I sure need this boost! Im guessing that Jonathan is in transition right now, and will put our info into his site as soon as he checks in. He wanted before/after pics on this challenge. But Ill wait till he gets back and let him persue that avenue! We can start on Monday - and weigh in every Monday afterwards. And you are welcome to set your own "goal". -10 in 10 weeks is a fairly decent weightloss goal for most of us to aim for. Anyone???

Nancy, Sounds to me like its reflux. And yes, the bed elevation does help. But the best "treatment" is not eating after a certain time. I very seldom eat after 7:30ish, and if I stick to this rule (which I usually do), I will not have the nighttime reflux. Alot of times your surgeon will request for you to have a slight unfill to relieve the reflux. Good luck.

Angie and anyone else... ANYONE is welcome to join, no matter where you are on your journey. For me, its easier to aim for a goal, so I recommend -10 pounds in 10 weeks. Others are interested in more or less weight loss. Whatever goal you feel comfortable attaining is fine with us. Im copying and pasting from the other challenge... LaMadam actually strated the original one. Everyone was complaining about not losing any weight. So the challenge was started to show us that we ARE losing, we just cant see it on a daily weigh in, but we CAN see it on a weekly or bi-monthly weigh in. Oh, and Jonathan has a web site that he adds our names, starting weight, current weight and goal weight. Seems easier to keep track of! So, on Monday it starts!!!!
