:happybday: To one of LBT's pioneer's ~ and one of my personal favorite's. Hope you having a fantastic day!
-
:welcome: Im extending this to ALL the newbies that are on this thread. (Esp. Mona  Hi!) How funny! But true. ALLLLLLL men seem to have this fear when their wife is nearing this surgery.... LOL. I had to laugh though. Kat, be cautious with who you tell. Some will be supportive - some not. I told only my immediate family (another LBT member said that only her husband knew). Go with your gut feelings on who to tell. After you have the surgery and lose 40+ pounds, and everyone is wondering what you are doing to lose weight - you can reveal your secret THEN! Good luck, and again WELCOME EVERYONE!

Having Baby after lap band, a few questions
paula replied to JanW's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
:welcome2: Hi Jan ~ 2 cc's is a decent level of restriction. Ive heard that band surgeons request that preg. bandsters get a total unfill ~ till everything's over. Id be a little leary of doing that myself. Congratulations on baby #3. Everyone says (myself included) that the 3rd is the biggest blessing. I agree! -
My goodness.... we have a BIG day in the house! HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! You are one of the best - have a great one.
-
Maggie - Do you have an OBGYN that you see regularly? If so, Id call his nurse and see what she has to say.
-
That's a wonderful feeling! Hope it last for a looooong time. BTW - what in the world is this... are you saying you have to pay (Literally) per cc?
-
Im like Jack - no problems with hamburger, but extreme caution is used when eating steak. Have you tried eating your hamburger meat with lots of ketchup? This may help.
-
Have I missed something? Where are all these "religious" post?
-
LOL... in MY case it would be an unwanted beard! (not attractive for a female to wear) Oh, and I thought it was a WONDERFUL question to ask - NOT a "silly" one. Just wish we had bigger - more experienced - responses.
-
Girl, you are B E A U T I F U L ! We are SO grateful that you found us here at LBT. Youre an asset to us. WELCOME aboard!

I just did a little research and couldnt find anything about abnormal hair growth in other areas. You may want to call a pharmicist(s) and ask their input.. ? Personally - Ive only heard of it promoting scalp & nail growth. Wish I couldve been more helpful. :phanvan

Jack, Im trying to reach MIL to ask about the tenderizer working on a "clogged" starch. Im thinking the only thing she uses the Adolph's for is a Protein clog... which goes along with what you were saying.

Try getting a piece of plywood cut big enough (2x2?) so you can slide it under your bed or sofa ~ put your scale on that and see if it weighs accuratly. just a thought!

Sunta, My MIL had her stomach stapled 20+ years ago. And when she has something "stuck", the only thing that clears it is meat tenderizer.... but it has to be Adolph's brand. Have NO idea why. Although she (MIL) has recommened me trying it ~ Im too scared! :nervous

Regarding the RNY - I say go for it! Youve got my support!!! (((hugs))) dont forget about us, ok?

Jigglypuff, Ive had a couple of really long lasting pb's (like you). It makes for a very swollen esophagus that last a couple of days. YIKES! What do I do? hmmm, it depends. Sometimes just drinking a bit of Water will flush it through -or- make it come up. And yet, other times it stays stuck for much longer periods. Like you, I walk, jog, lay on tummy, drink water, drink more water... whatever works. If I end up literally vomiting, it will usually dislodge the stuck item. Is this enough details? Good luck!
-
Vera, I will certainly pray for your family's strength. And I also pray that this brings your family closer to Him, insead of farther away. Sadly, sometimes the death of a loved one can do that. God bless all of you. (((BIG HUGS)))

tvgrrl, Here is the link to a thread that has LOTS of gross pb details... enjoy http://lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=4170

Girl, you made me smile. As I read through the list - it made me realize how good it feels to be somewhat "normal". I hope we never take it for granted. How true this is. I never looked at it that way. You are so right! Bravo to you!!!:clap2: :clap2:
