Penni - I'll accept it! And even if you need more time, thats fine too. Help is here! woohoo This is a GIANT step for me... I just came home from Walmart. From the time I got out of my van till I checked out, all I thought about was a Hershely w/ almond. :decision: (am I the only one that does this?) did alot of thinking... but I got a bag of cashews instead.

Terri - 4 feet? :omg: My goodness, you could get lost in that. You know, that IS a thought for my husbands dog.... (I hate that dog). Just send him to Terri's and let him goooooo in the 4ft of snow. (Im being silly, sorry - but I DO hate his dog). Hope the heater starts working soon. ((hugs)) girl. Back in Feb 97' we had a ice storm - no electricity for 3 days. it. was. cold. Funny thing... in Nov of the same year, we had a baby boom happen in our city! Strange, huh? Stay bundled up, you should be safe!

Diana, There are several LBT members that have had their bands for years. One that comes to mind is "Coffeewrench". I think she's been banded around 6 years now.
-
I havent read the other thread. Is there a bigger question to this?
-
Lena (so many questions... sorry), Are you still taking the pepcid daily?
-
Hey Y'all - thanks for asking. Here's the deal... due to Friday's stomach bug, I still have a decreased appetite (high-five for me!). So, yeah - Im doing REAL good right now! Since Ive been "cleansed" of carbs, I feel like I can get back on the right food track! Chabutter, there must be something about pre-planned meals. A couple of other members said the same thing - PLAN YOUR MEALS! And thinking about it, thats what Jenny Craig, Nutrsystem, and so many others diets - gear you towards.... planning meals. Looks like thats my game plan for the week ahead. anyone interested in making a daily/weekly meal plan with me? I need good suggestions.

Raazzberry - Please know that you are facing something that so many of us fear will happen to us... unbanding. (Ive already responded to Lena on another thread!) God bless~ BTW - jut wondering, have either of you logged onto the statistics thread - to join in on LBT's erosion stat's? http://lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=14559 -
awe Mary - these pic's are wonderful! Its the one where your youngest is KISSING big brother.... heart touching!
-
I just figured the cuts were results from a Slumber toy... :biggrin1:
-
Hey Pat, Just think of all the $$$ you're gonna save by hitting a triple run... hehe
-
You know, I was wondering where youve been. I figured you and Jack (who's also MIA) had eloped!
-
Seems like everyday more and more bandsters are logging onto LBT carrying the erosion card. I just wanted to bump this thread - hoping they will see it and submit their names.
-
You know, I NEVER thought of it. How true! Thanks for the smile!

Wanted to post this on the Texas board, too.

Hi Bobbie, and WELCOME to our home... glad to have you! :biggrin1: Have you gone to any group meetings for either doctor? Thats a great way of finding the right surgeon - AND getting good info (espeically knowing about your relaxed esophagus problem). Good luck - and again... WELCOME! -
Lena, How much weight have you lost so far? And, what (if any) symptoms did you have with erosion?
-
Terri - that is beautiful! Like you, we are VERY dry over in Louisiana and would welcome ANYTHING wet. Of coarse, in my neck of the woods, the white stuff is only a dream! ENJOY!
-
Gosh, I am so sorry to hear this. I can understand why you want to wait - but for the sake of your health, Id have it removed as soon as possible. How long have you been banded?
-
Thats what I was getting at by telling Dad's story.... restraint and patience is NOT an easy thing! So you have an Aunt that's in the medical field - and she is guiding you? I feel much better knowing this. Use Dr Poo for what you can - and move on! And your mom - Im really sorry to hear of her illness. Any official word on her yet? Thank God for big-mouth family members! (except for when they are blabbing MY business)

:bump: Hey Kim, Im just bumping this thread up. I know that several members (wish I was one) have had this done. Good luck!

:welcome: Hi Fiona! SOOOOO glad you are out of lurkdom... woohoo! Youre gonna be banded in a little more then a month? WOW! Its gonna go by fast - I promise! again, WELCOME!!! -
Awe Louise, ((hugs)) to you! What about getting a switch from the band to another form of WLS - is this an option (or even a solution)?

You know, I cant help but get so discouraged after I read your update. I didnt like your endo's attitude. Please tell me he was much more concerned/interested -in person- then what Im reading. All I keep thinking about is... if you go to 6 doctors, you are gonna get 6 different opinions/diagnosis. A few years back my dad became deathly ill. He went to 3 different doc's here in our area. 2 of the 3 doctors said that it was in his head - the other one said that his body was shutting down - he was dying! He went to Houston, saw 2 more doctors. After MANY tests and WEEKS of severe pain - Houston doctors said that he had a rare type of artheritis. Although he is much better now, to this day he believes that noone knew what he had. mystery illness? maybe. I say this to you cause this sounds like its gonna be a looooong battle. (((hugs)))

Hi Shontel, WELCOME to LapBandTalk.com. Guess what??? Im in LC too. Have you chosen a surgeon yet? Dr Spiegel did my surgery in July of 04. Please stay in touch. There are MANY bandsters in our area, but Ive yet to meet any!

Has anyone lost weight but not pant sizes?
paula replied to bandtastic's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi Bandtastic, Many months ago I had the privledge of being with about 7 other bandsters. One of the things we talked about was that a few of us had problems with our pants being tight in the waist and big in the legs. So, Im thinking this is a commen complaint! Even at my 60 something pound weight loss, I still have problems finding pants (jeans) that fit "right". Since Im big busted, Im not as concerned with my shirts. But my pants are a BIG issue for me!
