    I Cant Stop Eating!!!

LOL - pudding, gross??? I can down a kraft 4-pk -ANY FLAVOR- in seconds and never taste a thing. ok, so Kathy - Im game for the diet pill stuff, you know this! So you do the gen. adipex - and Im gonna do the gen. tenuate. Lets see if its gonna help get that monkey back in his cage! ****cracks whip**** fiveholts ~ Thanks for the reminder.
  2. Are you sure they werent thinking of band slips being caused by the above? In my simple mind, erosion would commenly occur with some type of irritation to the band/stomach area. But thats just my opinion - actually it just me trying to make sence of something good going bad and why! ...but over eating causing erosion??? I dunno about that.

    Update...

What a HUGE difference in your "apron" from the first pic to the third. WOW! When its all over and done, this was FIFTEEN pounds of fat removed that no exercise or starvation wouldve removed! woohoo!!!!! Girl, you get MEGA hugs for showing us these pics. Not gross or disgusting - but VERY educational!

    American Idol

Kim, I loved your list. Your opinions are EXACTLY what I was thinking too. So Chicken Little is gone. I bet his parents are happy this ride if over! Whats the deal with Kelli??? Is LBT the only place she is seen for who she really is? Repeating Simon: a naughty little minx. This group of voters includes all the men from 16-70 years of age. Dody, I choked on my coffee reading what you said about Paula Abdul. Horney broad.... LMBO!!! Everyone is so "fun" to her. "Know what I like about you???" seems to be what she tells everyone. Everything is happy and fluffy. NOT! Criticism hurts, but its stuff wisdom and correction is made from. Simon ususally hits the bullseye with this comments.

    I Cant Stop Eating!!!

Hi everyone... so glad you guys are still hanging out to check on me. I feel the love! Penni - what Ive been doing is using the food guide you gave me to eat with. Not measuring the amounts (probably what Im doing wrong). Like I said - at this point, Im using it as a guide. I know the list says to have canadian bacon - but Ive been doing the regular pre-cooked bacon with 1/3 cup of l/f cottage cheese for Breakfast (list says 1/4c, but I feel like I need a little more, haha) Ive noticed that this breakfast is staying with me much longer then anything else Ive tried. This is good news. The afternoons are the bugger for me. BUT - Im doing better then I was. In my discouragment, Im researching the gastric sleeve. Re-reading all the support everyone has given me here, Leatha said something golden... "It gets harder this far out." I didnt think Id be having this hard of time this soon. So, Im basically dieting. Trying to keep myself under 1200 cal. a day/low carb stuff. (yuck)

    dismantle my life

Crystal, You have every right to feel this way. And about this... HELLOOOO.... this isnt a time for you to GIVE support, its a time for receiving. Weve ALL been through some type of physical or emotional crisis - thats when we lean on other to make it through the desert. I say everyone that reads this thread - say a prayer (or the white light, healing vibe) for Crystal.

    Preventing Childhood Obesity

Jachnut, I knew the frozen kids meals were harmful - but what about the 'healthy' ones, like - Lean Cuisene? Also, do any of you give your kids Vitamins and "green" suppliments (like Yummy Greens)?

    Phen Fen and Emotional Eating

Paula, I liked your answer. I agree, ok, so why cant they take the BAD part (that caused the heart valve troubles) and just give us the good part. I dont need the energy - losing 60 something pounds has given me that. Just give me the mental part of the drug... thats ALL I want and need. :clap2:

Julie - I like this idea. Just like Jane saying that junk food is for "parties" only. You two get a high-five for this!

    Preventing Childhood Obesity

Wow - Vera. Thats what a school SHOULD do! Darcey, this is my 5yr old. Eats till shes full - then stops. LOVES veggie/fruits. Her "treat" at the grocery store is a bowl of fresh mixed fruit. She prefers this over candy. Right now she is in front of the tele with carrot chips. PLUS - she's my most active one (probably ADHD). Regards to this - she is way bigger then Marcus was as at this age. Another strange gene thing. question: do you think the frozen dinners (like W/W Smart ones) are 'safe' to give kids?

    Another endo result-

Hi Pati-o, so glad to hear your good news. Please explain to us banded bunch what esophageal erosion means. Would this be like an ulcer in the esophagus?
  15. paula

    frozen dinners?

Stacey, Each of us are different. I remember Alexandrea saying that SHE can eat ANYTHING as long as the bites were small enough. Most of us must avoid these soft doey (rice, pasta) foods, but some dont! There's thing wrong with ya!

    Preventing Childhood Obesity

Jane, thats a great idea about the little baggies with the serving amount. Never thought about that one. Thats good! Whats funny is I dont think that ANY of us keep junk food around our homes - esp. on a regular basis. U]Our[/u] biggest junk food is ceral, but we also keep oranges, cheese squares, pretzels, wheat thins around as a staple. And soda's are only bought when one is sick, like sprite for a stomach bug. I dont even allow juicy juice drinks - too many calories and they drink the entire cartons in like 15 minutes. So we are big on Water. (poor kids - thats all they have) We bought the type of fridge that has the water and ice dispenser - that way they get water as needed and they think its cool to have a bit of independence by getting their own ice/drink. I do allow sunny delight orange drink and milk. They dont abuse either one, so I think these are safe in MY home. Alex, 2 girls, both from same parents. One has the gene, other one dosent. Strange huh? My older sister and I were just like your two girls. She didnt have the "eat all the time" gene... i did and still do. (she is now deceased) My girl friend has this "bargin" with her kids. 1 hour of exercise/outside play/anything NOT in front of a square. And they have earned 1 hour of square time. 1 for 1.

    Hypoglycemic Crashes

me neither. I think Wheetsin lied. (LOL) Have you had any more problems? Just wondering, think it has to do with what we eat the day before - then the nighttime fasting - then the sweet (delish) morning coffee. Lastnight I had a salad for supper, then a low carb yogurt for dessert. This morning, after my coffee rush, I had NO problems. No drop in B/S. hmmmm, its got me thinkin'!

Lisa, There?s no place like home

Lisa?? YooHoo... LBT is looking for you!
  20. Hi Sky, When I was banded, I felt zero restriction until the morning of my first fill - which was exactly 4 weeks after banding (to the day). I went ahead with the fill and didnt gain -NEW- restricion until weeks after THAT (maybe 3?). My guess is that you may be like some of us and not gain restriction until later... which is very commen. Ill try to do some digging and see if I can find some threads relating to this delayed restriction.

    Phen Fen and Emotional Eating

I loved Phenfen. First month I took it, I dropped 16 pounds. Second month I lost 12.... loved it. My only problem was that by the 3rd month, my mind was always so pre-occupied. Seems like I stayed in a day-dream. Didnt feel like eating, didnt even THINK about eating. Who does when they are spaced out??? LOL
  23. paula

    Can you eat these foods?

((Holy crapola... youve lost nearly 40 pounds in a month???? high-five to you!!!)) - Tortillas (white, wheat, corn?) NO, only eat hard shells like chips, hard taco etc - salad (what kind of lettuce can you eat?) Yes, no problems. I eat mostly green/red leaf - Hard breads (pretzels, crackers, melba, etc.) yes, all of them, but very slowly. - "Fluffy" breads (pancakes, waffles, muffins) No. I know these will get stuck. - Ground meats (turkey, chuck, sirloin...)Yes - all mentioned, no problems - Shellfish/crustaceans (scallops, shrimp, crab, lobster, mussels...) Yes - Hard cereal (grape nuts, oat bran, etc.)Another Yes. No problems with ANY cerals... - Hard cheeses Yes. This is another easy food for me.
