Thanks Penni - Sue's been on my mind. Next time you two talk, tell her that through her determination in having this surgery - she is encouraging some of us scaredy cats in having it done..... Im one! Hurry up and get well Sue... we want details!

Ive been doing some digging. I know its a little early in the year to think about having fun in the sun, but I added these sites to my favorites so I can locate them closer to the opening of Mom's pool. Here are 2 sites on Water aerobics. The second actually gives details to different exercises we can try. http://www.targetwoman.com/articles/aerobics-aqua.html http://www.hydrotone.com/exercises.html

something just dawned on me... these newbies must be scared to death when they read our post. so, just to set the record straight... these noises do NOT cause pain. I actually didnt have any funny noises until after my first fill.
-
Like Ive said before, I sound like a F R O G ! I have a ribbit noise that comes and goes - it feels like a zipper in my throat. LOL... If we would all get together, we'd have our own orchestra of noises!!!
-
Yes, Marie - I agree 100%! Plus Spiegel ordered (at least he used to) us to wear the inflatable boots to help prevent blood clots from forming - even though they were aggravating to wear, it was consoling.

VERY normal... But be careful!!! This is extra weight that you will fight with. I had my consultation in April and approx. 8 weeks later was my actual surgery. From all of my 'last suppers' I gained 13 pounds in that time frame. I often think that IF I wouldnt have gained that extra weight, I would be well below my first goal... -200 !!!! Good luck!

Donali, is that your SO... ???? (hehehe)
-
You can come and visit me too... we'll visit over crawfish pie and gumbo! YUM! (see? there's the 'food for entertaining company' thought again)

imagine this... poor Ryan comes on here to tells us about his clothes getting BIG - and the conversation turns into something about his butt crack!!! :rambo Speaking of which... we need pics!!! Come on Ryan... its hard for us to get a visual!

Betty, I laughed *TRULY laughed* at the beech/birch one!!!! I hope this one hasnt been told yet... An old farmer in Kansas had owned a large farm for several years. He had a large pond in the back, fixed up nice; picnic tables, horseshoe courts, and some apple and peach trees. The pond was properly shaped and fixed up for swimming when it was built. One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn't been there for a while, and look it over. He grabbed a five gallon bucket to bring back some fruit. As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer he saw it was a bunch of young college girls skinny-dipping in his pond. He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end of the pond. One of the women shouted to him, "We're not coming out until you leave!" The old man frowned and grumbled, "I didn't come down here to watch young ladies swim naked or make you get out of the pond naked." Holding the bucket up he said, "I'm here to feed the alligator." Never forget, old age and treachery will overcome youth and skill every time.

Darcy - I just took a peek at your nest! Priceless. That is truly priceless! My favorite is your cabin... I would LOVE to have a get-a-way place like that. (psst...I didnt know you were a newlywed!!!)
-
Big - BIG t-shirt and the largest size of stretch shorts (back in July) - WITH a bra, thank you! Yes, it was uncomfortable. I went braless at home for about a week - maybe week and a half - before it wasnt painful to wear.
-
Michelle was another one that did Water aerobics.... cant wait for warmer weather - I LOVE water aerobics!!! BTW - anyone know of a web site that gives you different exercise's for it (for home use)?
-
You are beautiful, Girl!!!! Now its time to update that avator - you have lost oodles since that pic was taken!!!

When I had my surgery, my youngest was 19 mths old. Like Alex said, I would sit down and let him crawl on my lap. The only extra tidbit I can add here is that before he would climb up, I would put a pillow over my belly (even a folded blanket would work) just incase there were little feet, hands or knees that unknowingly would push on something sore. Good luck!

Amen Betty... This place is like family! Hey Jonathon - whats even better is when you can actually meet some of these people in person. THATS awesome!
-
LOL... this WAS a good one Kelly!
