Glad you are doing better. I know exactly how you feel. My worst PB was not with a pill though. It was with a piece of pretzel....the big doughy kind. Evidently the piece was too big and it took over 24 hours before I felt better. I thought I was going to die. I thought I was going to have to go to the emergency room to have the pretzel removed. How embarassing would that be. I will never eat another pretzel again. At least with my blood pressure pills, they can be cut in half. Can't do that with capsules or liquigel capsules. I hope you are feeling better now!!

I love my doctor. He is the absolute best. His staff is awesome also. I feel very blessed to have Dr.Fitterman taking care of me. As a bonus, he is very easy on the eyes....a real cutie.

Congratulations of geting your band Amber. Every day you will start to feel so much better. It's gotta be hard not being able to pick up the baby. How long did the doctor say you had to wait before you could pick the baby up? Feel better soon! -
Great NSV Penni. It shouldn't come as a surprise to you though since you look fabulous. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Congratulations on such a tremendous weight loss....and welcome to LBT..

I'd buy a new engagement ring. I'm married 26 years and when we were starting out my husband lost his job and I sold my engagement ring. I feel guilty wanting a new one...but if I won lotto.....a new ring on my somewhat skinny finger. And a new car with whatever was left.

You got me good. I was soooooooo happy for you.....and envious.

Beautiful family Penni. You look awesome. You don't look like their mom, you look like their sister. Have a great trip.

Thanks for letting us know Bill. Tell Vera we are thinking about her. She must be so happy.

I had problems with my band last summer and ended up having to have the fill taken out of my band. At one point I had 2cc, then 1cc now none. I have been without a fill since August. My doctor finally said I could get a fill (scheduled for April 1st - I hope it's not an April fools joke - lol). I saw my orthopedic surgeon last night and we both decided that it was time for a total knee replacement on my left knee. I had a total knee replacement on my right knee 2 years ago and I love it. My question is does the fill have to come out before I have my knee surgery. I hope not because I don't plan on giving it back. My surgery will probably not be until the end of May due to my job and my cranky boss. I get an epidural for my surgery so it's not like they are putting any kind of tube down my throat. I just want my fill. I know I should not eat so much, but I am always hungry. Help!!!

Hi Amber. I think everything you are feeling right now is normal. This surgery is going to change your life. Make sure you set little mini goals for yourself. I made the mistake of setting really unrealistic goals as far as my weight loss went....then was very depressed when I didn't meet those goals. Now I set little goals and am much happier. The NSV's (non scale victories) are great also. Remember, everyone here will help you on your journey. The love and support you get from everyone here is awesome.

There are so many, but I would have to say my 4 children and my husband.

I'm so sorry Nancy. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Welcome Karla. You're absolutely right, this is an awesome group to be a part of. Good luck on your band journey.

Gee Paula, I wish I had great advice to give on how to avoid the Easter candy, but I don't. I'm obsessed with it. I ate Peeps the other night and I don't even like them that much. Had part of my daughter's Cadbury Caramello bar the other night. chocolate covered raisins last night (tried to justify eating the raisins saying they were a healthy snack). I made it through Halloween, Christmas and Valentines day without craving this crap and now I am out of control. scale keeps creeping up. I'm hoping when I get my fill next week that I will get a grip and get back on track with my eating. I am addicted to chocolate. Damn those stores for putting this candy on sale.

Happy happy birthday Pat. Health and happiness always is my birthday wish for you.

WARNING GROSS PICTURES Lisa's Surgical Wounds
molynn replied to DeLarla's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm so happy for you Lisa, now that your wound has finally healed. You have been through so much and continue to be such an inspiration to me. Thank you. -
I hope you are taking it easy Teresa. Feel better soon!

I would keep after the insurance company. 30 days seems like a long time to get a no, especially when the insurance co already knows they are going to deny it. Good luck with your secondary insurance company.

Those pictures are incredible. What a difference. Bikini underwear. You look great. My band doc said I have to wait until I am 2 years post op (March 2006) until I can have a TT. He told me that after having 4 children and being overweight my whole life that the tummy is here to stay (until the TT that is).

Good luck with the surgery Penni. I wish I was a candidate for that type of surgery, but I am not. I had to get Progessive lenses now for my glasses. I love them.
