OBESE SINCE I WAS 19!!! REALITY HIT at 40!!! I finally realized after my mother died in NOV.2012 of complications of Diabetes with Kidney Disease, Heart Disease, etc....I was like what am I doing? My chances of being diabetic was about hmmmm 90% because both grandmothers had it, my mother and half of my family had it. I finally decided to start eating right and exercising since Nov. 2012 but instead of losing weight I kept gaining....I asked myself, What was going on here, after several months of testing they finally diagnosed me with PCOS (Polysistic Ovarion Syndrome) and in August 2013 I was diagnosed as Diabetic and started taking 500mg of Metaformin to help with PCOS and my DIabetes. I had started my journey for lap band in June 2013, I decided at that time that I wanted to reduce my chances of getting Diabetes, so I went to a seminar and thats where my life changing experience started. I am very excited, nervous and determined to make this work for me. This is my opportunity to turn these health issues into non-existence!! ;-) I pray for strength, patience and serenity to any challenges going forward. I will beat this I have 4 children that I have to take care of and want to see grow up and see my grandbabies!! :-) I wish all of you reading this much success and blessing in your journey!
