That's awesome mrsirish! I know what you mean about head hunger. I haven't been able to get much down though, just some protein drinks and water. I go back to work tomorrow ugh! I don't feel my port in fact I don't even know where it is. I totally need to ask my md about that! Lol -

Hello all. I was just banded on 1/15 and haven't gone #2 yet. Is this normal? I was on a liquid diet prior and am on a full liquid diet now. Haven't been able to get much down yet. What does your experience say? -

Thanks for the support. I'm on day 3 and I haven't taken any pain meds! Just Tylenol. Maybe that's why I am able to go to the bathroom. -

Thank you for responding. Funny how after I posted this, I went #2 successfully! I have been on liquids so I am staying hydrated. Thank you again for the help! -
Tightness normal?

I was banded on 1/15 and feel a similar tightness. I met with my dr today and he said this is because of the swelling. Should go down soon. -
Soooo nervous! Need to be in by 8am for 10am surgery!!! Wish me luck!!

Everything went well. I dont have much pain. It feels a little tight around my chest. Need to be cautious and sip rather than gulp my liquids. -

I was banded yesterday and haven't felt any pain. I didn't even take Tylenol and I slept very well. Do you think I will be ok or will I start feeling pain out of no where? -

Day 2 post op. I didn't take any pain meds not even Tylenol and slept just fine. I also don't feel any gas just a tightness where the band is. I don't think I could eat anything even if I tried so I am happy to be on liquid diet. I realize how important it is to sip slowly because when I took a big-ish gulp it felt uncomfortable. -

I'm officially banded. Wasn't so bad except my Belly button was bleeding a lot so I ended up staying longer. Overall I feel great now. Looking forward to a speedy recovery. -

Yes they are really nice. I'm on day 5 of the liquid diet. It's tough but I'm sticking to it. I'm really nervous though. Any words of advice ? -
