How much fill do you have in your 10 cc band?

I was upped to a total of 7.2ccs in my band (back in April) and that restriction was a goooood one. They passed on a fill in May and now my next apt isnt until June 25th where they'll probably fill me a little bit as I can get more food down than I should. I've lost a total of 54lbs since I was banded on Oct 30th with a total of 11 of those being between April and now (so far). Im finding that its time to really kick the exercise in gear because I havent done much of that on a consistant basis.

    Any one in NW WA

I havent posted in awhile and thought I'd check in. Im in Kent and had my surgery done by Dr Srikanth in Federal Way. I just passed the 7 month mark of being banded and still loving it. 54 down and still counting. I hit my sweet spot at 7.2ccs a couple months ago and will probably get more added the end of June when I go in for labs and check up. How's everyone else doing?
  3. hi everyone! Im 36 next month, married 14 yrs (in May) and mom of two daughters ages 13 and 10 (and a 3 yr old beagle named Kirby). We live in a suburb of Seattle Washington and love it. I've been an at-home mom for the past 13 yrs minus some clerical temp work. Im looking to get back into clerical work part time now that the kids are older. Nice to meet you all
  4. Hi everyone. Im not a big poster so I thought I'd change that by jumping in here. I have problems with a few foods... here's my list Breads (unless chewed so well that its not worth it to eat it) Yams Green Beans Scrambled eggs (boiled works - go figure) Dry meats (anything cooked too long wont go down) Most noodles (unless the sauce is really slippery) There are still a few things I havent tried yet like Shrimp - because I"ve heard its a problem food. Past that most things are tolerated well.

Im down 37lbs so far. Your 40-43 is really good!! Slower is better because you have a better chance of keeping it off. Keep it up

Oct 07 Bandsters - how are you doing?

Just thought I'd jump in and say hello. I was banded Oct 30th with a 10cc band and lost 30 lbs before my first fill on Jan 4th. I had pretty good restriction and I was uber careful. I lost restriction until my 2nd fill oon Feb 8th where I lost 7 more lbs then lost it again due to a longer wait to get fill #3 on March 24th. Taking in too many liquid calories and not being a big exercise fan has made it slow of late. I feel like Im finally back on track though... and prob within a fill or two of my sweet spot.

How much fill do you have in your 10 cc band?

I was banded the end of Oct and have a 10cc band. My 3rd fill on March 24th put me up to 6.5ccs and I feel good restriction. How long that will last - who knows.
  8. Hi All, just thought I'd jump in here and say hi. I've been lurking about the boards for awhile now. I was banded Oct 30th and due to the holidays and the Dr being away Im not getting my first fill until today. I've lost 32lbs so far - none in the last month because Im back on solids and holy cow am I hungry!! I know the band is loosy goosey so this fill excites me!! I felt restriction from day one but its lessened in the last month or more. I still feel it but it takes more to fill me up and Im way hungry in between. Ok that's it for now just saying hi to you other Oct bandsters! :)

    Any one in NW WA

Just an update here... I was banded on Oct 30th and doing well. I feel pretty good considering. I've lost 16lbs since the surgery (2 weeks ago) and Im seeing Dr Srikanth today for my first postop follow up. I was very impressed with him and St Francis - I was very well taken care of!

    New in Washington State

I've been going to Dr Srikanth in Federal Way WA - he's at St Francis Medical Center. Im not banded yet but the preop has been great. He's got a fabulous bedside manner!!
  12. I see we're going to the same Dr, Janette- I havent been scheduled yet but he told me I'd be going on a liquid diet for 2 weeks before surgery! It does seem like a long time! Im sure I'll be saying the same things you are when I get there! Hang in there!

Slow loser needs advice from good losers

Hi Denise, Im not banded yet but expecting to be here soon. I just wanted to jump in and comment on the hormone replacement - that is one of the side effects of HRT or BCP's (birth control pills), weight gain that is. That's one reason why I stopped them (among many others). You can look into natural methods for replacing hormones that dont have side effects just in case that's the issue. Dr John Lee has some great books on the subject. Hang in there
  14. Hi, Im new to the boards so I thought I'd introduce myself. Im Jen. Im still in the testing phase before my procedure can be scheduled. I just made all of the appointments (one being tomorrow for the EGD) and Im excited but also freaked out. I hate needles and tubes down the throat but its all part of the process so I'll deal. Im hoping to be scheduled in May or June but we'll see. Jen
