Zingythingy replied to sprinkle715's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi mamma, thanks for the message. I'm actually a brit living in ireland..some irish ancestry but british through and through... Yes I'm tall for a woman..lots of advantages my weight was spread over a large area...lol.. few disadvantages (trousers swinging around my ankles) I think I'm doing ok... I know you shouldnt compare your own progress to others but its hard not too.. I think I expected similar weight loss to bypass patients.. But as long as it keeps going down no complaints... Chat soon.. :-) Sent from my GT-S5830 using LapBandTalk -

Ah you poor thing. The picture of your dog is lovely... I totally know how wretched you must feel. I have 3 dogs and a cat all my precious babies. I know right now it won't feel like it but you will be ok. Time heals all kinds of heart breaks. I also know your dog loved you too and wouldn't want you to find solace in an icecream tub... Rich coming from me. I've eaten through every emotion I've had for years.. Chin up try to remember your dog was lucky to have you sadly more briefly than you hoped.. <3 xxx Sent from my GT-S5830 using LapBandTalk

Spouse is NOT on board.....
Zingythingy replied to manda81305's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've mulled over your post since the early hours trying to put into words my annoyance on your behalf. Firstly if diet and exercise always worked in my opinion wls would never have been invented.. It never worked for me long term. Maybe I wasnt dedicated enough but I was always going to fail. I loved and relied on food too much. Secondly as far as the twonk from the gym giving you his ....? Educated opinion was it even bloody asked for..sorry for being cross but it was none of his business. It was his job to encourage you on your set plan and help you with that not tell you the incredibly hard decision you made was wrong. He didn't know you....gggrrrr As for your husband not being on board thats sad.. My long time partner of five yrs left because I had surgery and found my voice... Your husband did say better or worse, sickness or in health. Obesity is a disease id remind him of that. He knows you've tried. Surely he wants you happy and healthy.... Good luck honey. I think I'd write and complain about the gym twonk. His methods in my opinion were underhand and out of order. Trying to sell personal trainer time..not acknowledging whats right for you.. Zingythingy replied to sprinkle715's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi brittani, I know its frustrating gaining weight the whole point of the op is to lose.. However weight gain once you start eating again could be due to your glycogen stores replenishing. The pre op diet gets rid of them but they do return. Secondly I'd like to introduce myself Frances 37 Ireland Op. 3rd july 2013 Start weight. 350llb Current weight 276llbs Goal for september lose 14 llbs Goal weight. 170 llbs Reason for banding. Not happy with arm lift 12 months post op
Zingythingy replied to sacredheart's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I think you look fabulous. I understand totally your feelings about your arms. I have a long way to go still to reach my goal weight but have already discussed with my gp the areas I'd like fixed when I get there. Arms and tummy come first. For me arms have been disproportionate to the rest of me (still are) my breasts are like spaniels ears and hang lower than my belly button however a great bra fixes that for me and I only care at the moment how I look in clothes, not naked. I think if your self esteem is affected its important enough to be upset. I don't think your ungrateful just not satisfied with how youve been treated. On a happier note killer boobs...I love them they look fab!!! Totally jealous of those. X Sent from my GT-S5830 using LapBandTalk -

Sorry fellows but I've got to say this... I'm mentally struggling for the first time properly today.. I'm craving junk food terribly. I know its because my hormones are getting going again now I'm thinner (I have polycystic ovary) but I've not experienced cravings like this post op before. I feel ratty and horrible.. In the past chocolate biscuits and crisps would ease my torment.. Any ideas?? Sent from my GT-S5830 using LapBandTalk

Freaking out a little bit...
Zingythingy replied to kbrown465's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I had the band because I really struggle with moderation and longevity. I'm a great dieter...do really well but simply can't stick to it long enough. I gave up medication, drugs (long story), alcohol all addictions to some extent but couldn't give up food. I thought like you that I'd eat the same only smaller. For me thats not so. I can't eat bread/doughy food at all. Fried anything makes me nauseous. I don't eat crisps chocolate, biscuits which were sticking points for me. Not because I can't because I know I shouldnt. The scales going down every week is enough to keep up my motivation. I don't see food as a treat anymore. I choose makeup, clothes perfume. I don't regret my band one bit but its a tool. You/we still do the hard work make the right choices. No one should influence your choices/decisions follow your own heart.. Sent from my GT-S5830 using LapBandTalk -

3 days post op not doing well at all!
Zingythingy replied to betchaican's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ah you poor thing.. It does get better. The gas/wind is awful. There are meds that ease wind. Also try to lie on your side it helped me. I didn't find pain meds helped with gas but did with the other aches and pains. I used to swallow sure while I drank which doesnt help. Remember to breathe out before your swallowing your drinks etc... Sent from my GT-S5830 using LapBandTalk -
I just would like to say I've had no problems (I'm a new bander) its harder than I thought to be strict its not a magic cure but it had saved my life. I didn't have any medical weight related issues, but couldn't wash myself properly, wipe myself properly, fly, touch my feet etc etc. the risks of surgery for me were very real I have anaesthetic allergy..however I chose the best surgeon I could. I can look after myself now and if I hadn't been brave I would of just got fatter and the problems would've come. I was terrified until I was actually put to sleep... But no regrets. No one should influence your decision but its the best thing I've done for myself.... Sent from my GT-S5830 using LapBandTalk

The world is full of ignorant people who feel they are entitled to say whatever they want... Just remember one thing the only opinion that should impact on you is yours.. Don't absorb their negativity..regardless of size age whatever people like that have ugly souls..in my opinion Sent from my GT-S5830 using LapBandTalk
