Hi!! I had vsg Jan 5 2015 and went from 274 down to 140 in about 10-11 months. After I had vsg (my surgery went well and my dr was great) my body went crazy I ended up with a pic line in my arm and a feeding tube for about four months before it fell out. So that's a reason why I lose it so rapidly and causing a great deal of excess skin. Fast forward to two years later I'm ready for the next step. Plastics surgery! This is harder than deciding wls lol. I don't know where to start. With wls my insurance had a program with a guide. I'm on my on now. So looking for some starting points and help. Connecting with people who had plastic surgery and sharing your experience with me. I'm even considering Dominican Republic. But want some insight.. Thank you!

I had a blood infection before. I have a feeding tube now to get my nutrients because before I couldn't keep anything down. Kept throwing up. My body is just having a hard time adjusting back.

Sorry so late, been going through a lot. My body is having a hard time adjusting to my sleeve Been in the hospital about 4 times after my surgery. Now have a feeding tube in my tummy. But You decide everything the type of surgery and the surgeon.

. I so understand about the vomiting and nausea!!! I'm almost 8weeks post op and I'm still nauseous. I have the patch and zonfron, It was so bad that I couldn't keep things down and have to get the ng tube down my nose for feedings. Omgosh that tube hurt so back, I couldn't talk, sleeping was hard, couldn't swallow. So last week I went to my surgeon crying to remove it and she did and then took me back in the OR and put a J tube into my tummy and I do 14 hrs of tube feedings a day. I try little bits and one day it's ok the next it's not. Gave me Valium also cause sometimes after surgery your body can go into anxiety mode.

I'm not on the food stage yet, still liquids but sometimes when I lay on my tummy I feel it or after I drink liquids so it could be the contractions from the sleeve. Thanks

@@dad77 I have the same feeling!!! I'm 5 days post op n I'm on antacids. It's like a wave and it moves thru the tummy. Weird

I had the leak test. I had to lie in a table then they tilted the table up so u kinda standing up n u drink that stuff. I was only able to keep it down for like 3 mins n up it came. Next day had to repeat it but kept it down a Little longer cuz I took small sips lmaoo. The lady was like I need u to take a big gulp. After the 3rd gulp it came back up, but I had no leak

I woke up after surgery dry heaving, then by time I got to my room Hours later I was throwing up.Then still kept throwing up the next few days. So today was the 1st day no nausea. Yay! Haven't had any gas pain yet I don't think but my tummy has been growling n rumbling at times lol, is that gas? I'm gonna get out the house tomorrow too. And gonna step on the scale lol lets see

I got discharged last night, and I'm a tummy sleeper so at the hospital I could only sleep on my side so last night I slept on my tummy n was kinda sore. Today I just rested n got my fluids in. Can't wait to feel like my self again:)

I came home last night n just been resting. I'm feeling better now, and can't wait till I start feeling like myself again too

Awwww glad I wasn't the only one who had a few bumps on the recovery path. Mon after surgery I was in recovery till 6am then on my way to my room the motion got me so nauseous that I started to vomit. Gave to a patch and zorfon and still no help. Just slept then Tuesday did a shallow test n threw that back up so couldn't finish so. Wasn't given and liquids cuz kept throwing up. Gave me a suppository for the nausea, helped a little. Repeat the test last night n still threw it up but better reading. No leaks! Possitium was low so had to get three bags last night. Much better today. Drinking broth and G2 n they gave me my scripts for when I go home.

How is all the post op this week? I had a lil hard time with recovery. Today is going better

The first three days were rough, was so nauseous and throwing up. Finally was able to drink broth n G2 just now. Feeling better today. Hopefully get to go home soon. Thanking for asking

I'm having surgery at New York Presbyterian 1/5/15 with Dr. Bagloo. She is so nice!! And the office workers too Josie and Ivy! They submitted my papers and got a approval a week later. So far I'm happy with my decision

That's my doctor. I'm having surgery on Mon!! She is super nice and caring

I have been on lovenox for about two years, my doctor told me to stop the day before my date and then for a few months.
