I got banded on 12/19 and at first lost 20lbs but when I started eating food when the mushies stage. I have gained 5-10 of that back. I know that the first weeks till the first fill is to heal and if you don't lose a lot its not that big of a deal. However my eating habits have changed since before the surgery I sometime feel I am eating more than I should be but I am not eating nearly as much as I used to. I know there is no restriction to my band and when there is I will be eating less and my weight loss will be good. I have my first appointment to get a fill next Tuesday 1/28. A couple questions I have about this and some other stuff. 1. Should I be still losing weight now that I am eating ewgular foods. 2. When I get my fills is there a time of when not to eat or drink prior to the appointment. 3. I am still restricted to lifting, pulling, pushing no more than 20 lbs but is there some exercises I can do or any exeecise videos I can get that are not to strenuous.

I was banded last Thursday 12-19-13. I just started my phase 2a which is full liquids. I know it consists of cream Soups, puddings, yogurt and I start my Protein shakes this week. imm wondering if I should be feeling full when I eat at this stage? I know some people said on here that with their band they get a pressure feeling but I haven't felt that yet. im still in some pain from surgery and think that maybe that could be why. I also keep getting like a "gas" feeling through my stomach when im getting hungry and after I eat. I am ot sure if it is from the gas the put in me during surgery but that should be gone by now right?? Any advice would be appreciated and also if you have any other foods I could eat on this stage that would be great too!

I have highmark blue cross blue shield and and doing my 6 months diet training. This is my 3rd weigh in but my 4th month. My surgery is scheduled for Dec 19th. And from march to July I lost 25 lbs but that was before my six months started. From July to Augi lost 9 and Aug to Sept was 4. Today is my next appointment but I think I either stayed the same or maybe gained a pound. My question is could my insurance deny my surgery if I didn't lose this month?

I have been doing the diet consulta with my PvP and have met with my surgeon already in august. They want me to lose between 20-40 lbs before surgery which is scheduled for Dec 19. I have lost 40 pounds since march but started my diet consulta in July. Lost 9 from July to august and only 4 from august to this month. So as far as what I need to lose before surgery only the 4 counts. What I was wondering is if anyone has some advice on what can help to lose more before surgery. I was thinking of trying to do a protein shake in the mornings and for lunch but I'm not sure what is a good one. I have done the slim fast powder mix shakes and like them but not sure on how they rate for pre-op diet. Any advice and help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!
