Nope no problems drinking. I am heading home in the morning which is 3 1/2 hours away, but am scheduled for another fill in two weeks. I will wait it out. Thanks!

    Any other September 2013 bandsters?

Nope just like a shot. And a little pop.

    Any other September 2013 bandsters?

My fill is all done. Now I have 3cc in my band. My nurse said she wants me to eat normally no liquids then mushies then normal. She said that I don't have to worry about my band being messed up because I didn't have any liquid in my band. Now the real work begins.

    Any other September 2013 bandsters?

First fill tomorrow hopefully. Getting much hungrier and snacking more then I should. Very nervous that they won't give me a fill or that I have a stretched pouch since I can eat so much.

    protein for hot drinks?

I am ordering some tonight. I can't give up my coffee so I thought it may be a way to at least get some extra protein in. :-)

    protein for hot drinks?

There is a product called ripped cream that is a protein coffee creamer kinda thing, I haven't used it yet but have heard its amazing.
  7. I found some pics from about 6 years ago when I was at my heaviest. I have lost 110lbs all together and am excited to use the tool that is my lapband to get the final 80lbs off!!

    Thyroid and lapband

I had thyroid cancer and was still able to get banded. Was told thyroid issues will not cause a problem.
  9. My doc is of the "only eat when your hungry" school of thought. I have been doing that but am finding I am eating at most 600-700 calories a day and am starting to get nauseous and weak. I am thinking really need to be eating three meals a day just to keep my energy levels up and to try and help with the nausea. Does anyone else's doc say to only eat when you feel hungry even if that's once a day?

    Not eating enough

Because they are liquid calories. The thins we eat right after surgery like mashed potatoes and other mushy foods are not good daily on a long term basis because they don't fill you up for long.

    Not eating enough

The problem is I can literally eat one meal a day and be fine. I am going to try and up my calories to 800 and see how I feel.

    Heartburn

Today I had a couple chicken strips and 5-6 French fries and for the first time since surgery I have some mild heartburn, I am 3 weeks out. I had a very bad hiatal hernia and haven't had any heartburn at all since surgery. Does heartburn always indicate a slip or dialated pouch? My follow up is in 10 days but I a little worried. Newbie nerves I guess.

    Any other September 2013 bandsters?

Thank you for your reassuring words as always! I in my head know I am doing well but when everyone says they started solids at 4-6 weeks it's hard not to second guess myself and my doc.

    Any other September 2013 bandsters?

I am such a worry wort that I have the same fear, I am going to scale back to mushies for a few more days. I am scheduled for a post op/fill on the 29th and am planning on texting my docs RN to ask her a few questions about a slip or dilated pouch just to ease my mind. :-)

    Any other September 2013 bandsters?

I have had chicken this week but the chicken strip was too much I think. I just feel like a total idiot.

    Any other September 2013 bandsters?

I am eating about 1/2 a cup still and staying full for 6 hours or so. I guess I was just scared that I was the only one back on solids already. I don't want to risk a slipped band! I haven't thrown up once which I great.

    Any other September 2013 bandsters?

How is everyone doing? Is anyone else who was banded towards the end of the month back on normal foods? I asked a question in the post op section and it sounds like most don't progress from liquids and mushies till 4-6 weeks and my doc transitioned me at 2 weeks and I haven't had any problems until today when I ate a couple chicken strips and now don't feel too great.
