before and after pics

Go walking- don't be embarrassed- you look so great! You really really do! -
I love Cheez-it crackers (yum). I can't even buy them because I'm too weak.

I eat out all the time & can always find something on the menu that I can eat. If you are nervous about going out, see if you can get the menu on line and decide before you go what you can have. If you are on my fitness pal, you can enter the items that you are ordering to see the calorie/protein count beforehand and gauge how to handle yourself. You will do just fine!

What is the rudest thing someone has said to you?!?!
jamilyne 102668 replied to auntlucy's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Worst thing someone has ever said to me- My ex- husband told me that I was a fat bit.h and told me that I wasn't pretty anymore. Still stings. -
If I had pizza I probably wouldn't be able to stop, so I avoid it. Pizza is one if those things that I just like way to much to start having nibbles of! So I don't even go there lol

My journey so far...
jamilyne 102668 replied to kcgal62's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
You look great! Congrats It is so nice to see the results -
Yes, the pain that you are feeling is from the surgery. I had it too. My worst day was my 4th day post-op. After that, the pain got much better. If your doctor has cleared you to walk, you need to walk - that will help release some of that trapped gas. So, the answer to your question is that it is normal to feel this way. I did have restriction right from the get go too and I was unable to eat very little as well. I hope you feel better soon.

First time being sick with the band :(
jamilyne 102668 replied to rigonj's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
When I've been sick with my band, I have noticed more constriction. When I exercise I can feel the band tighten some also. I can tell that there's a little more constriction because while I'm working out and I take a drink of Water, I can feel the difference. I think you should also take it easy with exercise and just be good to yourself. I hope you feel better! -

Should i tell my bf?
jamilyne 102668 replied to Lili14's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Lili14 - This is just my opinion, but if I were you I would tell him. Explain your struggles to him and explain that this is what you want to do to change your life for the better. By reading your post, this is not a new relationship and you don't want to have any secrets with someone that you are serious with. With regard to hiding the fact that you had surgery - I guess anyone can hide anything if they really want to. You are going to have some small scars and if you are intimate with him, he will probably notice. I am married for 10 years and have been with my husband for 12-1/2 years. He was very supportive of me getting lapband surgery, because it was what I wanted. He told me to do what I thought was best. I think that he was scared when I was having my actual surgery and he did relay that to me. But I did just fine. Good luck. -
I like Adkins Protein bars (just read the box, some have more protein than others). Also, Life Choice High Protein Bars (double chocolate) - 21 grams of protein. You can get them at Walmart at the Cereal aisle (inexpensive). I'm also going to look into some of these others protein bars that others have suggested.

Feeling frustrated. ..
jamilyne 102668 replied to 521Diva's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am a lapband patient, but I am positive that it is going to be a little while for you to see results. You did have surgery and it does take time for your body to heal. Just hang in there, I'm sure that you will see the results soon! ** by the way - if you had ivs during the surgery or afterwards, sometimes that makes you gain some weight from the iv Fluid intake as well. Wishing you the best -

New addictions?
jamilyne 102668 replied to Kitt3000's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Yep - I'm obsessed with my weight (the scales), I'm obsessed with protein, my fitness pal and this site. I have moved my addiction to these things.
