I'm a little discouraged too. I consume around 700-800 calories a day and have been going to the gym. I've been doing everything right and my weight is stuck. I'm upping my game and going to try to go to the gym every day (even if it's just for 1/2 hour). I was going every other day. I had my first fill on 10/15 and it didn't help one bit. Little angry at my doctor because I'm self pay and I found out he put a large band in me. I got 2 free fills with my surgery. They charge $200 after that so I think I'm looking at some money just to get in the green zone. I know they do that so they can make more $, but oh well! I'm not in Georgia either, but I was self-pay which was $8990.00 with 2 fills. Fills at my doctor cost $200.00 per visit. When you check around see what the aftercare is going to cost. I found out they put a large band on me and I think the fills are to get more $ from patients. It kind of makes me angry, but I'm doing well so I can't really complain! Ok - my last one for today (lol). My husband and I had our date night - he wanted to get coffee at Krispy Kreme (seriously?). Then he's like we can go and I said no, it's ok (we were holding the door open at the store)! Guess what I got - a banana! It's ok to be nervous! I sure was! I had my surgery on 9/13 (Friday the 13th)!!!! Lol - I went back to work on that next Tuesday and I've been fine. I only missed Friday & Monday from work. It is a surgery and it is scary, but for me - it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be - I had myself in a tizzy for really no reason. I wish you the best - you'll be ok! I could lose and then it would come right back. I would put myself on low calorie diets and I would be starving all the time. Then I couldn't take it - then there was binging which just made the whole thing go out the window! The lapband helped me stay satisfied and I'm not starving all the time. I was 242 when I started this - now I'm 218. I know for a fact that I would just have been heavier had I not done this surgery. I wish you the best! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

During my pre surgery testing I had 3 EKGs come back abnormal (one after the other). I was very nervous & it affected the EKG. I have a new one - I got a new outfit for my birthday next week - i got skinny pants, boots, a new sweater & a vest. For the first time in so so so long - I think I look pretty good- the pants & shirt are a size smaller & this is the first thing that I have bought since my surgery just over a month ago. Most of my clothes are getting a little baggy & I didn't want to buy myself any clothes because I know I'll be losing more weight. So my moms like I think you should have a new outfit for your birthday from me - yay! And I'm going to be 45 lol! I have a tattoo on my ankle and it doesn't matter about weight there - lol. I know that this is a tattoo posting - but, I didn't realize Carolinagirl that you haven't had any fills. That's really great - I didn't realize that before. I usually post on my i-phone, but I got onto the site at work and on the iphone app it doesn't give all of the information.

Yay! Good for you - so happy for you! Its ok to be a little scared, I get scared sometimes - I was banded on September 13th - so I'm new at this too. Good Luck to you
