    Slow Weight Loss With Lb

This is just a suggestion, because someone helped me once before when I wasn't losing any weight and I was in a rut - see what your average Protein levels are. I try to get in at least 85 grams of protein. When I upped my protein I started losing weight again. An easy way to do this is on "my fitness pal". You can access it in your phone apps or on the computer and start doing a food diary. At my fitness pal it will break down your food choices into calories & nutrition values. It makes it easier to calculate. I use this website religiously because I don't always know how many calories or how much I am eating without it. Also, I'm a carb addict (I really am), I can't eat carbs anymore and I have to eat more chicken and fish to lose weight! It will break down carbs/fats/protein to see what your eating most of. If I start eating more carbs than protein, it shows on my scale! I'm a Newby and I'm not trying to act like I know something that I don't - I just had this issue myself and these two things helped me. I wish you the best of luck

    How ofter do you weigh

I weigh myself all the time and I know that makes me a "slave to the scale!" Anytime I'm at home I get on the scale - all hours of day & night. I work during the day (btw). I contribute some of my weight gain for not having a scale for a few years and it was "out of sight - out of mind." It's probably better to weigh once a week. Whatever is best for you! I'm a little psycho about it (lol) & I know I am!

Problem With New Banders Giving Advise

I am starting this rant because I have a problem with new banders who JUST got the band within few weeks giving advise that they don't really know about! I got my band on 9/13/13. I've lost 30 pounds - I am in a position to maybe help someone who is about to have the surgery and maybe speak about my experience afterwards. But I have no business giving advise beyond that. I am a little angry with several people that have been banded after me giving advise on things that they know nothing about! Blogging on things and just in general speaking on advise that should be reserved for veteran banders. If I don't know about something, I don't say anything! I try to be encouraging to others and sympathetic as a human to human, but I just don't think this is right! Just because you have been banded doesn't mean you know everything!!!! And everyone who knows me on here - knows this is out of the norm for me, but it makes me angry! People are vulnerable and take what others say to heart! I'm not saying that newbies can't blog or speak to others, I'm just saying if you don't know about something just move on - someone else will respond that does know something! I'm not looking for backlash, just want people to be aware - that's all!

    I messed up

Blue - We all mess up. Don't beat yourself up! You were probably hungry because it was time for your fill and you are taking care of that. Just get back on track. Please don't beat yourself up! I've been through a time where I wasn't losing weight and it finally started coming off again. Everything is going to be OK

when can I go back to work?

That sounds like hard work! I think you should ask your doctor and make sure you tell him/her exactly what your job entails. I have a desk job. I had surgery on 9/13 (Friday) and came back to work on Tuesday. For that first week I only worked, I couldn't do anything else. My husband and kids had to help me at home. I think you are going to need more time. Like I said, I think you should ask your doctor and they will probably give you a doctor's note. I wish you the very best

Bandista - how are you feeling? Did everything go as planned? Was thinking about you yesterday (I was under the assumption you had surgery yesterday) Hope all is well

Everyday I ask god to give me strength

Don't feel bad - I have similar problems! My son is 23 he was in college for about 2 yrs and dropped out - he has an iq of 140 & he sells appliances and makes about $350 a week and lives on his own but constantly has $ issues. My daughter is 22 and is in nursing school and works hard for every single good grade that she gets! She's doing good but she's in Maryland and I'm in Florida and it's hard! She works only on the weekends because of the classes she takes and she's making it on her own and barely asks for anything. She has 15 more months and she will be an RN with a bachelors degree! My other daughter is 15 and has a congenital heart defect and they are considering open heart surgery after her dr appt on Friday. She is the sweetest little thing and she helps me the most! I'm just waiting for drs office to call me about this! Then I have an 8 yr old daughter who's a cutey pie. And I'm married to a husband who helps whenever he can, but he works 70 hours a week! I also have a very stressful job - and it's a mission to get to work. I live in homestead Florida and I drive to the train station and take the train into downtown Miami. But I make good $ and I love the people that I work with - it's just a demanding stressful job! I completely understand where you are coming from! I often wonder how I can juggle everything & keep up with what I'm supposed to do & weight loss. But because of all these stresses in my life I let myself go and ate into fatness. I never put myself first, but I didn't want to be morbidly obese anymore and the problems are still there and there is always going to be problems of some kind! Just hang in there - I pray for my kids all the time & worry because we are moms we do that! Take good care Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
