Just found out my husband is trying to cheat!
jamilyne 102668 replied to takingaleap's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Well, I was typing a message to you then I see that your post came through. I am so happy that he has decided to go to therapy with you. Please do not do anything drastic yet, just wait it out and see what happens. Sometimes emotions can get out of control with something like this. I really hope that you are either able to work it out or decide what is best for you and your children. I am thinking of you today. -
I love my hubby!
jamilyne 102668 replied to jtickle's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
That is so great! His support is going to help you so much, physically & emotionally! There are some good ones out there - you got one!!! -
You have been through a lot of ups and downs recently! I am so happy about your twins and so sad about your mother! I'm am an emotional eater also so I get it. I love food just like you and eating certain foods used to make me so happy, but afterwards not so much! I felt like an out of control piggy (lol). Let me ask you some questions: how did you feel when you were losing weight? Do you remember how it felt to have people notice your weight loss? Do you remember how it felt to lose weight and to be in sizes that you hadn't been in - in years? Although you have been under a tremendous amount of stress - you can do this! Throw out all the foods that you feel are stopping you from your weight loss! Make a doctors appt - do this for you & for your twins! You are the most important person to them, just like your mom was to you! You are going to succeed - if you need to talk - message me I'll be glad to help & encourage you!

Take this short Bariatric Survey!
jamilyne 102668 replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I took the survey as well. The last question on the survey was a little off like everyone said. I still have weight to lose, but I am thrilled with my results this far -

My daughter is in college and she came down to visit this week. I haven't physically seen her for several months, she said that I looked "so little"! OMG me little (LOL). I still have about 45 more pounds to go - but I'm gonna take it! I've been overweight almost her whole life (she's 22)! -
How much weight did you loose, before you could really notice a change in your apperance?
jamilyne 102668 replied to takingaleap's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
It was also around 50 pounds for me also. Everyone noticed around 30 pounds. I honestly didn't feel a lot better until that 50 pound mark either. I noticed a lot of actual physical changes- feeling better less aches & pains! I also had stomach problems before surgery and those problems are gone! -
Cant see any weight loss
jamilyne 102668 replied to Daly444's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I had lapband but sometimes when you've been heavy for a long time (like me) I don't notice my weight loss like other people. I've lost almost 60 pounds and I still feel like I'm fat. I think maybe because this is not like a diet. We are all losing weight a little faster than we realize and our minds haven't caught up with our bodies! I'm sure that you look great & congrats on your surgery to change your life! I'm so happy for you -
I found my port
jamilyne 102668 replied to fatty2hottie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I found my port for the first time when I reached inside the washing machine and I hit it - I thought I was gonna die! I was about 3 weeks out from surgery. As you lose weight you will notice it more. -

How to stop sugar cravings during AF?
jamilyne 102668 replied to Wendydarling19's topic in The Gals' Room
When it's my TOM I eat sugar free/fat free pudding - it's 60 calories and it helps with that chocolate urge that I get sometimes. You know what else is good - try a different kind of low fat yogurt, I like the key lime pie one, it's like 90 calories and that helps me too. Just a suggestion it kind of tricks my mind and makes me feel like I'm having a treat! -
Good for you! You're doing great!

How Did You Decide On A Goal Weight?
jamilyne 102668 replied to eyeononederland's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I just kept messing with the BMI calculator until it told me normal weight which for me is 150. I thought why have this surgery if I couldn't get to the normal weight for me- I want to be healthy. Tired of being obese! -

Thank you for all of your advice. I've only been on here for a little while and I've seen a lot of people move on & I completely understand - I wish you the best of luck and hope to see you on here again soon! -
Gentlemen... Please advise me! Re: Cheating
jamilyne 102668 replied to Yasmine's topic in The Lounge
Frank - I am a woman and if my husband had an "emotional affair" I'd be pissed! Just because you were overweight didn't give her the ok to have any affair on you. Having an emotional affair is confiding into someone else, sharing feelings, sharing emotional things that should be reserved for a husband/wife. I understand that you have children. What you have to think about is: (1) if she leaves or if you leave - the dynamics of your marriage is going to change. Someone will have custody of the kids and visitation to the other one. If you both live in the same house you have control over what your kids are doing and who they are with. If she's talking to someone over the internet you have no idea who they really are - she's going to get visitation and you will eventually have to let her see the kids if she leaves. (2) I see you put your foot down, maybe just see how that goes. She probably gets off on men talking to her and she enjoys attention. Hopefully things will change since you've spoken to her about it. But hey, sometimes it's not worth it! It's up to you to decide and for you to decide how much you are willing to take from her. So sorry this is happening to you, because it seems like you are a nice guy and it seems that you love your wife. She just doesn't see that and that's a shame! It's hard to find nice guys out there and she just doesn't know what she has:( -
I had my surgery on a Friday and went back to work on Tuesday. I have a desk job, but I have an hour and half commute to work. I was exhausted the first week. I wasn't in a lot of pain, I was just so tired. Just definitely take it easy, it is surgery and it does take a little time to heal.

Is Vegan life so awful
jamilyne 102668 replied to cheryl2586's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've become mostly a vegetarian- not really by choice it just kind of turned out that way after I had surgery. I'm not a vegan, but I can completely understand that way of life. I do occasionally eat meat, but it's very rare that I do. I used to eat red meat a lot before surgery - I was so unhealthy! I'm going to try your receipt! I love it when people share their receipts because I can't think of new things sometimes -
That was ridiculous and so rude! You definitely shouldn't have to explain yourself to a store clerk concerning any purchase! She crossed the line!
