Everyone is different Laurie, I have 6.5cc in a 10cc band, and mostly feel green, but at times I'm hungry so now I need a little more fill... Don't worry it just takes some people a little more. Good luck. Plus what size is your band?

I think u r yes.. I know all providers are different, but here in the uk we don't have the half cup rule, just eat untill your satisfied but not full.. Untill restriction and mush u eat will slip threw the band so u should be fine, as long as u r only eating the foods your directed to.. Good luck x -
Please take control... U should always know what goes in and what goes out... This is your body and your band, your doctor should be completely led by your requirements (obviously within reason) and your needs not what suits him... I would find it completely disrespectful if my Dr didn't inform me every step of the way..

Seriously... I do meeting on an almost daily basis in work as a nurse, and I am finding I am having to shout to be heard Over the sound of my own stomach... I can hear it growling "please louise, were r my pies, crisps and chocolate, feed me, feed me" It's like a baby, I have tried to ignore it, but it's trying every trick in the book!! Just as I am about to speak with a doctor or a patients relatives.. It shouts out "feed me or I will embarrass you" Some times a rubble, so loud the other day, the kids thought it was storm.. Sometimes a screech or a loud burb, anything to distract me and get my attention!! It's even started growing during love making!! But I tell you now stomach growly monster, u have had your fair share of pies, crisps and chocolate, In fact more then most have in a life time, well the funs over, so you can growl, scream and cry all you want, this lady ain't for giving in!

2 weeks post surgery, weight loss stopped...is that normal?
louloumoo replied to coachchels's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I got a fill yesterday and it took the loverly nurse 4 attempts before she could get it.. She needs to do me sitting up as the port move sideways when I lay down.. I'm Only 150lb so my port pops out!! Luckily I am numb in the port area from the operation, so have no pain at fills, I don't think I would be to happy waiting that long. -
I was also told that it can stretch your pouch, as the fluids can sit above the food!?

If u google Ketosis and the effects of periods u may get an answer, periods do stop in periods of "starvation" but should return soon enough without problem... But I ain't no expert. X

Hiya, I was banded 7 weeks ago, and had my second fill yesterday. Had 4.5cc in on day of op, then another 0.5cc at first fill and 1cc yesterday, taking me to 6cc in a 10cc band.. To early to tell yet but I'm hoping to be at green zone, mostly because I have a cruise in 3 weeks and don't wanna eat my way through the ship.. Lost 14lb today which is 40% of what I want to loose... All good to date.. X My question is does the restriction build over a few days or should it be felt straight away?

I've been a mental health nurse for 12 years (in the uk) and hearing this unnecessary suffering is very very sad.. Go the doctors sweetheart he can help, just a short term course of antidepressants to help you through, the next few months will be difficult, you have been through surgery and have lost your best friend (food) maybe that was your crutch when feeling down and fed up.. Just give yourself time, u will come out the other side, happier and healthy but in the mean time, no more suffering in silence.. God bless you xxxx

Happy bragging, you deserve it x

I do wish u the best of look, as I do with all my dieting buddies... However I can't help but be a little frustrated with your post... Is it not the case with most lap band cases that the person has no problem loosing the weight?, (in fact many saying they have lost and regained 100lb plus a few times over) Had you not tried dieting yourself before booking in for a lab band? Again I do wish you the best of luck, but please don't see yourself as an elitist (doing this by yourself) banders are not cheats nor is it easy. Be careful how you word your posts a this is a lab band forum after all... Maybe post in 6 months hay, give us an update then!
