Ok i know this is kinda gross but i never farted like this pre surgery is it normal to have gas constantly post surgery?

3rd day post op horrible feeling like i need to burp

I am 3 days post op amd have this horrible feeling like i need to belch but it wont come out. Havnt had any solids only liquid. I dont know what this is and it feels like when i swallow i can feel a ball of air slide down and thats painful also. Am i over worrying? -

Yes its been rough i am releasing some of the gas just can get this pressure or bubble out of my chest. I see my np thursday maybe she will have some helpful ideas. -

Thank you all for the input some of this stuff can make u feel like ur goin crazy. Walking and the heating pad are helping alot.. -

Thank u. I have been using the gas x strips extra strength but only one at a time the box says u can use 1 to 4 i wonder what other people have used and what helped. -

Ok so im on liquid prw op and im sooo hungry it hurts im at my grandmothers who is preparing christmas dinner i just want to take a bite of something amazing... This is proving to be very difficult for me.

Hi all im out of surgery in alot of pain most of which i think is gas. Besides the pain i get from moving ie. Scooting up in bed turning.havinga hard time drinking every sip makes me burp aven the littlest sip. And i am very thirsty. But they tell me all went well, and i will get to go home tomorrow. -

Im out of surgery in alot of pain especially when taking breathes and to move my body like scooting up in bed or turning. I think most of the pain is from the gas. They gave me pain medacine i will stay overnight and fo home in the morning. Just wanted to give everyone an update. -
Im soo excited my surgery is the day after christmas. Im driving family crazy because i cant quit talking about it im just soo anxious. But ive waited over a year for this so its a big deal. If anyone has any pointers for post op or good recipes please share.
