Thank you, just received my surgery time tomorrow. I am NERVOUS!!!

My nervous are taken over!!! I just received the call to confirm my time for surgery tomorrow. OMG, this time tomorrow I will be a sleever!!!

Hi all, I'm from Northern NJ. I'm scheduled for surgery on Tuesday!!! Yay!!! I am going through so many emotions right now, especially as each day passes... I keep saying to myself what am I about to get myself into. I just have to remember to breath and let God! I didn't have a pre-op but I've been trying to minimize my food intake. Didn't drop any wait but I know I haven't eaten nearly as as I would of weeks ago. Please pray for me as I transition into this new journey. A little fearful because I have no control once I go into the OR.

I was reading another post and the individual mentioned there surgeon is with Suncoast Bariatrics in Tampa FL. I believe they have Dr. Tiffany didn't pay attention to her last name, wanted to send you the info before I forgot.

I'm next Tuesday, it's been an emotional roller coster all week. I excited, scared, terrified, fearful; you name it I've dealt with that emotion all week. The closed I get to date the more I'm dreaming out. I told my mom tonight, what in the whole did I sign myself up for! I mean, I know why I decided on the surgery just scared of going into the OR for some reason and I l've had about 4 or 5 surgeries a so I should be a pro. Lol

Thank you isleeve and endure for you great suggestions... I have actually been boiling apple cider vinegar, raw honey, lemon juice and tea bags together and drinking that since about 10pm last night and I feeling much better. I made a big mug for work this morning and about to make another now... Thanks you again for the great advice, it's greatly appreciated. Nothing is going to stop me from getting this sleeve on Tuesday.

That was my biggest fear too. Turns out the actual surgery is the easy part. The recovery is hard. For me anyway. I'm struggling getting in my h20. You will do well I'm sure. As long as you have done your research and found a good surgeon, follow ALL pre op and post op rules you will be OK. I am anxious to see what the next few months brings. LuminousLife, Thank you for posting your experience post-op, I am scheduled to be sleeved on Dec. 17th. Some days the thoughts terrifies me and other days I am relieved to be taking this new journey in my life. The fear if keeping this weight should be greater than losing it!!! My biggest fear is the unknown, not having control of what happens once they will me into that OR. I pray that you continue to have a speedy recovery.

So, I'm a little nervous! I feel like I am getting a side throat and my survey is on Tuesday. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding any remedies I can take to resolve this ordeal. I refuse to let anything stand in my way and my destiny for this procedure to occur on Tuesday.

Onedaycloser, I'm scheduled for 12/17 and don't have a pre-op diet as you didn't. Did you do anything to prepare for surgery with regards to your diet? I know I went off track from the topic at hand, just wondering because I've been trying to make myself cut down as suggested by my NUT prior to surgery, just don't replay know what that would be for me. Lol

Hello everyone, I'm single and scheduled to be sleeved on Dec. 17th. I'm exited, nervous and scared... I know I have made the right decision for me and I have nothing to fear but fear itself. It's just the closer I get to my surgery date the more I have these random thoughts about my surgery date... Well, anyway I'm not dating at the moment with my surgery coming up, I don't really know how to work that in.. I've been asked on a few dates in the last week & made excuses for why I couldn't meet up. I really don't want to start dating until after my surgery because I want to keep my focus on me plus I don't know if I want to tell wow one I'm potentially dating about my surgery because he might not understand. Is it hard to date after being sleeved due to some of the changes that have to be in operated into your diet?

Thanks for the encouragement blessings2. I definitely know what u mean about the overpriced big girl stores just for some cheap fabric... I mean I could understand if it was of a certain quality. But I digress but soon that will be a thing of the past for me once again... Don't know y I'm so scared, I know that God will watch over and protect me from any harm during my surgery. I think it's just fear and I have to push it out of my mind. Looking forward to a new year and new me!!! And like you, I have this family event next June & I cannot wait to show off my new body to all my haters!!! Love it!!!

Thank you blessings2, I just purchased my protein shakes, some Gatorade, propel zero... I think I started actually realizing how fast my surgery is coming & I just got scared.... No turning back, I made my decision & I'm sticking with it. My mom gave me a pep talk in the car & I'm feeling a little better. I'm just going to pray that everything goes well with my surgery... I will keep you posted, I have surgery on the 17th.

So, I'm at Costco purchasing some of my post-op supplies & I'm getting a little overwhelmed!! I have a list and everything...

Linda Congratulations, I am glad you are feeling good. Praying for a speedy recovery... Hearing your story is making me a little less nervous... I have about 13 days before I'm sleeved! Keep us posted on your journey... Yay! So excited for you!!!

Divadee35 I went to the seminar back in August and met with my surgeon for consult around the second week of September. I didn't need to do any supervised diet for my insurance nor did I have to get approval prior to surgery. I initially was going to get the band and was scheduled for Oct. 30 but my PCP wanted me to stay overnight bc I have a mild hear murmur & high blood pressure so it was pushed to Jan. 3rd. So, I completed my psychological eval, nutritional eval, pre-op seminar all in September. So, I guess u can say things have been pretty easy going for me... Looking back, I glad my PCP wanted me on an inpatient basis bc I've decided to get sleeved in the process & my date moved from Jan. 3rd to Dec. 17th so this is a wonderful Christmas present to ME!!! Can't wait, another week to go...

I don't have a pre-op diet just was told by the nutritionist to cut dwn 20% two wks prior to surgery. I'm just mentally preparing myself for surgery on the 17th. I am SuPer ExCited about this New Journey in my life!!!
