  1. Down another two lbs!!! 222.. Its slowly moving, but its moving @@Cupcake good luck to you! Keep us posted
  2. Thank you!! I actually just committed to doing a beach body challenge for Brazil Butt Lift. Will be starting May 15th. Now to do standard exercise till then. LOL
  3. Cupcake, I sent ya a request. I do have some good news. Here it is Monday and by cutting out the evening snacking and logging my food into myfitness pal, I am now at 224 as of this morning! Whoop! 8 lbs to go. More would be welcomed! Thank you all for your wonderful encouragement in my time of need. I know no one ever said this process was going to be easy, and it sure hasn't, but I am beginning to learn to quit letting set backs be my excuse(s) to quit! Now if I could only find my motivation to get my toosh moving, I'd be set. LOL Again, thank you and best of luck of luck!
  4. Maggy's Mom, I literally installed the app yesterday! LOL. I plugged in my information and began my food journal of what I ate yesterday. I believe part of the problem is I am not getting enough to eat and therefore causing my body to store some fat.(typically either 2 atkins carb cntl shakes or one shake and fruit for Breakfast, snack on fruit/nuts/veggies, then at work, i'll either eat a lean cuisine snack for lunch or have 1-2 shakes depending on the hunger pains, and then a sensible dinner - ie lean cuisine, lol). Here's to hoping I will continue logging my intake to keep me accountable! Loveit2012, this is an insurance requirement. A requirement that I have had them verify numerous time and was always told I didn't have to lose a thing... Yeah. Frustrating! MisforMimi, I have actually thought of going elsewhere, but am afraid that I would have to do it all over again. My surgeon actually performed my friends back in October(her insurance was easy to appease! she just had to have documentation that she had "tried" to lose) and did amazing. Smooth recovery and copious amounts of fat gone(we are talking from 300+lbs to 199-yesterday). I had built up comfort and trust just to have this chip away at it. thesupportedhalf, thanks for the idea of concentrating on eating clean. I know Im in a hurry to get things done, but at what cost? I mean, I literally drink 2-4 Protein shakes per day(2 break fast, 2 for lunch) and then eat lean cuisine just trying to limit carbs and calories. I honestly feel like I'm starving. WorldTraveler, PCOS is for the birds! LOL. I did say I indulge, but an indulgence for me now is the Atkins treat bars(the snickers type and mounds are delicious) but that's it. I do not allow myself to indulge on anything else. No ice cream, no nothing(I probably should've said that sooner). I honestly, after looking at myfitnesspal acct summary, don't believe I'm eating enough. I think I'm trying to restrict too much.. That and I must start exercising! <THANK YOU ALL!
  5. Cupcake, I try to keep a diary in a traditional notebook(I'm afraid I wouldn't log into specific accounts each day. I know, I know, excuses, excuses.) I try to walk 20-30 mins 3 times per week. I suppose I will up it. I just gets so frustrating, as you know all too well, to get to that point and have to wait. Now that I'm actively trying, it just doesn't want to budge. I hope this isn't a foresight of things to come. Losing weight has never been a piece of cake due to the PCOS, but I never thought it would be this hard especially since I'm sticking with it and continually looking for more improvements. is it just me, I do intend on checking out the myfitnesspal. Do they have an iphone app? Thank you both so much!
  6. Ok, now that I have your attention I have some questions. I am currently 2 months in on my physician monitored diet(3 mo the first of dec) for VSG. I am 27 years old and have been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome(PCOS) since 19. I have excess hair, fluctuating cycles, and infertility. At this point I have yet to be diagnosed insulin resistant but am labeled as "pre-diabetic". I have always been of the chunky variety, but since my diagnosis I've steadily gained and have been unsuccessful at losing. I am 5'4 and weigh in at 244. Any advice on being successful with my sleeve and combating PCOS? How can I see the scale move quickly? Yes I am aware it's not a race to lose weight, but I am easily discouraged. I'm not looking to lose 100lbs in 2 months, but I would like 30 or so. I have seen where people are claiming to be slow losers due to their PCOS(losing 10lbs their first month) and am worried. Also, any luck getting pregnant????? That's a biggy as my husband and I are wanting to have a child.

    Smoking...ugh!

Ok. Here it is: shop.ourpricesarecheap.com If you choose to order, use code: TAKE15OFF for 15%off your order. Now the cigarette package I ordered was 49.00. It came with 2 cigarettes, battery charger and a 5ml bottle of liquid. The Kool liquid is a 10ml bottle for 7.00. I don't see the Newport. I have been using the same bottle for 2weeks and have just now decided I needed to purchase another before being stranded.

    Smoking...ugh!

Hang on just a second AmandaLove820. I'm trying to find the business card of where I purchased mine. They have online ordering and I believe I seen the Kool version. My friend actually has their standard menthol and minus the smoke, tar flavor of menthol cigarettes, it tastes just like a menthol.

    Smoking...ugh!

Stopping smoking has literally been one of the hardest things I have tried doing. I work a super stressful, intense, job as a law enforcement operator and had a habit of taking a break every 2 hours for at least 2 cigarettes. 2 weeks ago, I located a shop with electronic cigarettes. After weighing the prices, seeing how much I would actually save, and knowing that I could not have my surgery unless I had quit, I purchased one. 2 weeks and only 4 cigarettes later it is still not easy. I crave the habit, but no longer the taste or smell. Shew. The smell. I never realized how horrid it was until my 3 day stretch without one(I didn't charge my other e cig and was about to go nuts, lol. I broke weak!). I seem to feel better, have saved quite a bit of money at this point(on avg I'd spend 75-100.00 a month -- easily and right now I'm at 60.00[54 for my 2 cigs and 5 for my liquid]), and know that it will truly aid in my recovery in a few months. Good luck!
  11. Ahh! The 6 month diet supervision is terrible! The beginning of December will be my 3 month mark. It's even more frustrating knowing that my best friend and I had started this process together. Attended the same seminar, scheduled our Dr. consultations the same day, EVERYTHING! Now she gets to have her procedure in 2 days(her INS doesn't require the supervision period) and I'm still at least 4 months out :'( HOWEVER: I have experienced the 1 wk pre-op liquid diet through her and seen her come to tears due to unpreparedness. I too would've been in her boat had I been having surgery sooner. I have the time to find my Protein shakes(sugar free, lactose free) for my pre-op diet and she did not. Thankfully she managed to find her an approved Protein Shake these last two days and appears to be some-what satisfied.
