Are gas prices causing anyone to change their driving habits???

Hi all, I just can not believe that gas is soo much money and people just continure to go go go gog og og og og googgggggggggggggggggggooooooooooooooooooooooo never once slowing down.....I for one am riding my bike to pick up little things at the stores like Kmart, Walmart and Shopko...My husband works close to home, so he rides his motorcycle to work. I am going to ride my bike to the university this next semester when school starts back up. I am sick of having to cut back on other things so we can fill up the vehicles...we have a Pontiac Bonneville which gets between 19 and 30 MPG and an older 84 CHevy pickup that gets BAD mileage...use that to go camping with...I have to drive and hour away to go get fills and this is JUST going to affect me this next week...I am pissed that gas is almost $4.00 a gallon.. Just wanted to know what everyone else is doing to keep the gas budget under control...Deanna -
This comes from lowcarbcooking....it is soooo dang good, tasted like Applebees Smothered Chicken!!:thumbup::tt1::thumbup::tt1::tt1::tt2: Smothered chicken Recipe Number: 2288 Contributor: cheese, salt and pepper to tasteCooking Instructions:cut up the peppers and onions and cook them until soft, set aside. Brown the chicken in the olive oil and garlic.Transfer to 350 degree oven and cook until done. Add the peppers and onions on top of the chicken and top with cheese. Place it back in the oven until the cheese is melted. Additional Comments:Hint:Get your chicken browning first since it has to go in the oven to bake too! __________________

Ok Traci, here we go... 2.25 pound a week until October 6th.... As of today, August 11th, I weigh 197...next week at this time I need to weigh 194.75....but my scale does not weigh in decimals...so I need to weigh 195.

Ok, so the 6th is the date. I am weighing and calling it good. I feel good about what i accomplished during this challenge. We all are awesome!!

COngrats HP!!!! 80 miles is soooooooooooo awesome!!!!! Tomorrow is weigh in day and I don't think it is going to be good for me. I am bloated and irritable...so, not a good combo. Tomorrow and then one more week of the challenge. I need to look back at what I wanted to accomplish and see if I did or not. I can't even remember what weight I was shooting for.

Hello everyone!!! Everyone seems to be very busy and not on so much, so I don't even feel that bad!!!! I have three more days of actual school left and then just working from 8-5 everyday getting in my hours for my extership rotations!!! Yippeeeee!!!! I did my first organized ride this weekend too!!! It was a 65K and it was fun. Kicked my butt, but very fun and rewarding!! I am still running and do that two to three times a week. Miss you all!!! Take care!!

B, trail riding is MUCH harder and more like doing weights.....I like it, but love road biking....unless redneck retards flip me off driving toward me in a really big truck...then I like the trails

Hi my friends. I am here for my weekly check-in. I have read all of the posts I missed out on. I miss you all!!!! I got a good 32 mile ride in on Saturday. I am still running twice a week, and may bump it up to three times a week. I am doing about 2.4 miles at a time. It is hard, but I kinda like it. A little bit. Not really, but I am trying to talk myself into it.

Hello all, once again, I dissappear and it seems to be the last thing I want to do but it happens. BG, way to cute!!!!!!! Love, love, love the big smiles!!!! J, Zoe sounds like she was way to cute too!!!! HP, mine is a freshman too and has the attitude to go with it. School, school, school, externship rotations, extership rotations...thats all I do and I am tired of it already. 8-5 everyday and then studying is making me a very unhappy camper. I need time to ride my bike. I need it......I want it........SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi ya'all.....I am back!!! I have NO time to get on computer now and I am mad about it. I should be studying now and here I sit, because I miss you ALL!!!! I did not weigh on Monday, we were camping, but weighed Tuesday and lost 1 pound. I don't know how I lost the 6 pounds, not 8, that week either, other than I was eating way too much food and knew it, and just stopped eating all the extra food. Shaving the pits did help too!!!! I loved that!!! I rode my bike last night, which I wanted to get on here, but figured riding was way more important. I am not doing much riding anymore, in fact last night was the first long ride since the 23rd of August. Not sure what is going to happen now, but will continue to go when I can and to run too. I am pooped and need to go study. So, I will go now, but wanted to check in and say hi!!!

I ran 2.4 miles today. Nonstop. I am wondering about myself. Since school started on Monday, I have not had a bike ride. I rode my bike to school on Mon and Wed, but no formal ride. The wind has been blowing here like crazy in the evening. Hopefully we can get out tonight and ride, this ten miles a day crap is not going to be working for me.

Good job on the hills HP and good job on the running TL.... I don't run on days the run together. I run on Wed. and Sun. Although I did not run yesterday and will run this morning. We are going camping for Labor Day so I won't be around for the weekend!! Have a great weekend everyone and see you on weigh day....I may not want to weigh in on Monday!!!
