Sam, Can I ask why you are getting unfilled? And is that totally unfilled? I follow your posts almost "stalkingly" because you are SUCH an inspiration to me and to LOTS of others from what I have seen people write about you! Thanks for sharing. If it is NOMB, just tell me..I will go away...lol...DEanna

awesome pictures!!! You look fabulous. You rock.....I loved the pictures. So, tell me something, from a dumby on recumbent bikes. What is the purpose of them. Was it that it was physically impossible to ride an upright bike or is there some other logic behind these bikes that I have no idea about. I have seen a few here in my area, but very few. I was wondering if there is some added benefit to them? And also, what do you do with your arms and hands while you ride??? Thanks so much for anwering. GOOD JOB on the weight loss!!! Deanna

I feel like shouting......"I LOVE TO EXERCISE!!!!!!" I knew you all here would understand!!! I just wish that those who are trying to do this all on their own(with the band's help) would let go and let exercise!!!! LOL...I love it, and I love it , and I love it more everyday!!!! Deanna

Good exercise vibes going out to EVA...I agree Juli...now I can RUN up the stairs...before I would try anything to NOT have to go downstairs so I wouldn't have to go back up them. I LOVE IT!!!! It feels great!!! Deanna

Ok, on the pickle juice...JUST DON'T DRINK IT THE DAY BEFORE YOU ARE GOING TO WEIGH YOURSELF!!!! That could prove to be disasterous....That is really interesting on the pickles. Makes sense with the lactic acid. Thanks for the hints and advice on this one. I also would say no riding until your stomach digests your food. Good job on your biking trvgrl...Deanna

Green, yes, why is it that the in laws find it hard to except that you and hubby and YOUR kids are a unit and that does NOT have to include any of them!! I don't know, my son moved out and I let him call me, or come see me. I don't show up unanounced and expect to sit with him or expect him to come to my house and be with me all the time. This is what I have waited for...him to grow up and be a man. I actually have an update...I took MIL to the bank this afternoon and she said NOT ONE WORD TO ME about the weight. I was so happy, I wanted to hug her!!! Deanna

LMAO Tommyo...thats great....Deanna

Yes Juli, that is what it is all about all the GOOD things that come from it. WHY would people NOT want to do this?? I know...it is the getting started. If they would just get started....it only takes a few weeks and then YOUR HOOKED!!

I agree with the friends. As I age, I just want to do my own little thing and not HAVE to make time for others. I actually get really annoyed if someone calls me "just to talk". I would much rather spend my time with DH. I am weird that way. I have had many friends and then I seem to always let the relationship go for some reason. Probably because they get too needy and want more of my time. Maybe like liz said a night class, a book club some different gatherings. I know our university has a band play on Wednesday nights in the quad for free and tonight DH, I and DD went on our bikes and enjoyed some music. ALL sorts of people were there doing all sorts of different things. Some were there just to listen to the music. Some were playing frisbee, some soccer. Some were playing with their dogs and we talked to A LOT of those people because the dogs liked us I guess. Good luck on finding some way to find some friends that you would like to hang out with and do some YOU time. Deanna

and then you WILL exercise, and then you WILL play with your kids, and then YOU WILL be sociable. I have changed A LOT since 50 pounds are gone...I used to sit in the house and not do a damn thing but worry about being fat. I can't wait to see all the great and glorious things that I am going to be able and WANT to do when all this weight is gone!!! Deanna

Just an update I am QUITE happy about. THe store took my Schwinn back so now I don't feel so bad about having the nicer bike!! It is a Raleigh Venture 3.0. It is LOVELY!!! Deanna

I wanted to take a minute an apologize for the way my last post sounds. I was not trying sound bitchy or rude or "almightier". I am truly sorry if anyone was offended or put out by the way my post sounded. Deanna

WOW...what a power statement...Thats all I can say about it...POWERFUL!!!! Thank you for sharing. Deanna

I really honestly don't have a clue what you are going through. The only thing I am afraid of is not getting thin FAST enough. I do have to say that since 50 pounds are gone, I am getting more attention from men and that kinda irritates me. I am THE SAME person, maybe I am just more approachable now. Deanna

LMAO Mark...thats funny

I did it and I'm freaking out
areellady replied to cattiff's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Okay, first of all, what you need to do is.....sit back, take a DEEP breath and blow it out. Visualize yourself the way you want to look and open your eyes and say...."I WILL LOOK LIKE THAT"...you will be fine. I went through the exact same thing...EVERYONE does. It is an emotional ride but A GREAT FUN ONE!!! I am two months post op as of yesterday, have lost almost 50 pounds since starting two week pre op diet and feel LIKE A MILLION bucks. Can't wait to see what the next 50 feels like!!! You are wonderful, beautiful person who will do this!! This is the LAST time you will be this heavy!! I cried my heart out when hubby was driving home the next day after surgery and could not stop. I can NOW think how silly that was, but it wasn't at the time. It is a major surgery and emotions run rampant. Enjoy yourself, soon there will be LOTS less of you to enjoy..LOL...Deanna -
Powerade Options would be a better choice instead full stregth gatorade..

From June 06 to June 07 I lost 118 lbs

Waters, You will BE JUST FINE!!! A lot of people try to eat around the band and want to take no responsibilty for their actions!! Comply with what your doctor tells you, EXERCISE, starting with the first walking after surgery to get rid of the gas and NEVER stop exercising and you will do great!! Eat slowly, chew, chew, chew, stop drinking carbonation. Good luck!! Deanna -
Sarah, You are right about that. At least my hubby supports ME...and not the parents on this one. They are really nice people who just say stupid things...LOL...Deanna
-
Good for you Dieta!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good Job!!! I love it when someone starts moving their bodies more and pretty soon you will be wanting more and more and more. Deanna
-
I agree with both of you so much. I just wish everyone would see the benefits. I know its hard to start, but just start and do it for two weeks. You will be hooked. I always see people saying "I don't have time to exercise".....these are the same people who probably have HOURS of time at the computer and the tv!!!! Get up and move people. Your body will LOVE you. Deanna

Ok I can't believe NO ONE has a bowflex....maybe all the clothes are hanging on it????

I am personally not counting either. I started counting calories but am losing weight nicely so stopped and have continued to lose nicely. I used fitday and found it ridiculous to try to find what I was eating on their pre planned foods to pick from. I eat until I am satisfied and then MOST of the time...stop....LOL...have had a few times when my brain said, um noooo you need to keep eating but then I was miserable for being too full. I am one of the lucky ones I guess though because I have restriction without a fill. Good luck in finding what works best for you. I think that is the key, everyone is different. Deanna
