Good job!!! Keep up the great work in transforming yourself to healthy!!
-
I like watching the Olympics, it is amazing what a body can actually look like when worked!!
-
Oh boy, where to start.....there should be a huge difference in 60 pounds!!!! I feel great!!! I am all too glad I did this. I guess I don't have that hard of a time at it...it is sure coming more naturally. I am 16 months out, so I am kinda in the same time range. Why don't you write down what you eat, how much, what exercise you do, what kind of a fill you have and lets see if we can come up with a plan for you....that is, if you want...

I think a nice mud exfoliation sounds nice too!!!
-
Awe, bless you heart!!!! I think we are more embarassed than anyone that is with us!!! And you are making a ton of memories with your kids is more important than anything ANYONE COULD EVER SAY OR THINK!!!! Keep it up!!

Karen, If you are self pay, you will be banded in no time then. Probably close to two weeks after seeing the surgeon, if he has openings. The pre op diet is very low calorie, low carb type of thing. I did not cheat once, and was not even tempted, but I think it makes a difference when someone is paying out of their pocket or their insurance is paying the bill. You can do it...let me see if I can find the diet and share with you... I don't have it still I guess, but if I can remember it is a certain number of oz. of lean meat or protein, veggies and a serving of fruit a day. It is very very low calorie, I am thinking like 900 or something, but not sure. It is very doable though, and you will do fine... The first time I met with the surgeon, I got my band date two weeks from there and had to start the diet the next day.

That is SO rude.....oh, my, I would of been shocked!!

I will definitely be getting it checked out. I don't eat fatty food very often, so I don't know about that. Sometimes it comes on when I am riding my bike and it hurts soooooooooooooo bad I have to get off my bike and bend over my bike and kinda push my seat into my stomach....its a weird picture I'm sure.... Which Muddy Buddy you going to do 2 B??? Chicago???? Yes, join in on the fun of getting off 18 pounds by the 6th of October!!!!!!! One and all, come and join us!!! We did NOT ride tonight, but went and signed on a new boat...well, not new, but new to us....man, I am going extra tomorrow night...

post op day 3 gas pains
areellady replied to peaches1015's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Here is a trick I learned in the ER after I had my band about a week and went to the ER because the pain was so bad I thought it was a blood clot in my lung. Get down on all fours...CAREFULLY IF NEWLY BANDED....low head and chest down to floor, use a pillow to support stomach, leave butt up in the air. The gas works it way out. I still do this to this day if I get all gassed up. It still works...good luck -
TG, come to the thread called Personal challenge between HP and D!!!
-
Yes come join us on the other challenge thread.....it should be fun.... You are tall....I think that 185 would be a very good starting goal and the to see if you want to go lower. That is kinda what I am doing. My goal is 170....the doctor of course is 150....but I think maybe 159 might end up being my final goal....
-
awe, thanks!!! I will take younger too!!!!!

any experience w/Tenuate or Phentermine..
areellady replied to iwalktheline's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My doctor prescribed Phentermine to me awhile before my banding. He gave me a really low dose, so as not to get addicted to it he said. The first week, it seemed like it worked and then after that, it did not work at all. I stopped taking after two weeks. -
You definitely have had your share of surgerys this summer....bless your heart!!!! You just heal up now and next summer you will be out there doing Muddy Buddy Boulder!!!!
-
Aweeeeeeeeeee, Gail, I am happy that I made you cry!!!! LOL...thats a good thing!!!! Great, I soooooooooooooooooooo glad that you are an exerciser!!! It makes such a difference in the whole process!!!!You have done awesome with your weight loss!!!!!!!!! You go girl!!! I started riding heavy as did Traci...I was between 250-260 when I started riding....but let me tell you, it is a lot easier getting 197 pounds down the road then 250 pounds!!!! I hope we do inspire you to try cycling...it is a great sport and you burn a ton of calories doing it!!!

Please recommend a COMFORTABLE, WIDE Bicycle seat

EXERCISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really and truly, exercise...moving your body and burning calories. Building muscle to burn fat throughout the day and while sleeping. Its amazing what exercise will do for you!!! BUT, you have to find something that works for you!!! Something that you love, and want to do, and don't feel like you HAVE to do it. That is the key!!! Try lots of different things until you find the one thing that calls your name and you do it for the fun of it. I walked, jogged, swam, biked.....roller bladed, I just loved biking the most. I have bought 5 bikes this last year alone for myself...started with a el cheapo from Kmart...went to a sport comfy from Local Bike shop (LBS),when I worked my way up to riding 20+ miles at a time, I got a road bike......since I live in Idaho we have lots of mountain dirt trails, so I got a mountain bike too. Then I traded my low end road bike for a middle range bike that is specific to women and love love love it!!!!!! We now ride about 130 miles a week and I don't do it for exercise at all anymore, it is just what I love to do!! Good luck with finding something that you love to do, it takes time to figure it out, so don't give up!! -
scale is put away, so I can bring it out on Mondays for the next eight weeks. I, Deanna, promise not to get on the scale until Mondays, to weigh for the eight week challenge. I have to weigh in at my clinic on the 21st of August, which is a Thursday, but that will be the only time other than the appointed time on Monday morning to weigh in. Wow, now its official...a contract and everything.....lol
-
K, lets put the scales up....somewhere out of reach...I have been weighing every morning too and I hate it....I am putting mine up right now!!!
-
Long, that is so funny we all had the same stats!!! Hey what were your symptoms that you had about your gallbladder???? I think I am having some issues with mine...
