    Hi all, This is a WW recipe but thought I would share it anyways. 1 TBLS canola oil, divided 1/4 c. EACH minced onion, green bell pepper, carrot, and celery 2/3 c. drained canned white kidney Beans (cannellini) 1 egg, slightly beaten 1/3 c. seasoned dried bread crumbs In 8 inch non stick skillet, heat 1 tsp. of the oil. Add onion, pepper, carrot and celery. Cook over med. heat, stirring occasionally, until veggies are soft and moisture has evaporated, about 1 minute. Set aside to cool slightly. Using a fork, in medium mixing bowl mash beans, stir in egg. Add bread crumbs and veggie mixture. Mix until thoroughly combined. Shape mixture into 4 equal patties. Set patties on plate and cover and refrigerate until chilled (at least 20 minutes) In same skillet heat 1 tsp. of oil and add two patties. Cook over medium heat turning once until browned on both sides and heated through. Remove to plate, keep warm. Repeat with other patties. 129 calories 5g fat 5g Fiber

    Losing, I just wanted to tell you have absolutely beautiful and happy you look!!! I was going to tell you that in the B&A thread but I was afraid it would get lost and you would never see it. The transformation that you have gone through it truly stunning. How do you see yourself now? Do you see a smaller version of yourself or are the thoughts still with you that you are bigger than you really are. I wondered about this a lot and wanted to ask you.     Eating Bread

    I have not tried bread since banding April 19th, 2007, and I don't think I will. The horror stories are enough to send me packing and RUNNING the other way!!! I do eat rice, tortillas, crackers(whole wheat kind, more like a piece of really hard cardboard), and have had a piece of pizza since banding and not one problem. I have no fill, but have restriction and have to quit eating after about two cups or I have this chest pain and feel like crap. I have never gotten stuck, slimed or pbed....but the other night as I was riding my bike after dinner, I burped this stuff up and don't know if it was a pb or what. I couldnt stop to investigate what it was that was coming up...I know this will change as I get fills and I will no longer be a pb virgin...oh how sad....and my mom still thinks I am....J/K...lol....Deanna

    well, if you tried it and seemed to work then give it a shot. One month wont hurt you any. Do some measuring before hand and then keep doing what you are doing for exercise now and see if there is any improvment. I just can't see 4 minutes is enough to get your heart rate up and going like it is suppose to for the benefits. BUT who knows...maybe it will be great...Deanna

    lol green...that is hilarious...I thought i would fall off my chair laughing at scratching and humping the desk!!!! That was great!! About sleeping naked...DH and I have no problems in the bedroom area and I ALWAYS sleep with a nightgown on. ALWAYS...can't stand to feel naked and think what if a fire occurs during the night and I have to run out of house naked!!! EEEKKKKK!!! BUTTTTTTTTTTTT last night it was so damn hot I thought..well, I am gonna try it again, put my nightie where I could grab it if necessary. Hubby was already long in bed and snoring when I went to bed. Several hours later I am awakened by nothing other than someone rubbing on me. Trying to get the hanky panky on. I am so tired I roll over and SOMEONE follows me across the bed!!!!LOL...the funnny part this morning hubby calls me and says..."hey, how come you didn't tell me you were going to bed naked, I woke up this morning and your boobies were all hanging out"...I said to him" This morning wasn't the FIRST time you noticed I was naked!!!"...I didn't even know what happened in the night!!! You girls really should try it....see if something comes "up"....lol....sorry....Deanna

    Where exactly does the blinking light go on your back end....LMAO!!! Its a flashing ass!!!! Ok..seriously now... I DO peddle the hell out of it but I can't do it very long without thinking I am going to die right then and there from my heart beating so very fast. We ride up the local university and there are two hills that I have been doing. They are gonna be the death of me. It seems like they would get easier, like when I train with weights, it gets easier and then I add weight, but hell no....this uphill crap is not getting any easier. I am wanting to be able to ride to classes next semester, but don't think I want to have to take a shower after I get there from all the sweat that is pouring off of me going up the hill. Maybe it will get a bit easier the littler I get too, I don't know. Skinny bike riders make me sick!!!!!!!!! LOL...Deanna

    I honestly don't believe you can get a 4 minute cardio workout that will do you any good for your heart. 4 minutes??? I just can't see it, but then again, maybe it is the "magic" machine....hope others have opinions for you..and I hope someone has actually tried this to tell you about it. Deanna

    I know....the scale is like a ball and chain and we can't get rid of it!!! I think Jachut explains some weight gain in the damaged muscles retain water???? I am not sure about that it just sticks in my mind. Keep at it and it will go away and you will be sleaker, sexier and lean...Deanna

    lol losing...I liked that "not talking from personal experience".... You will not gain muscle to the tune of gainig weight. Someone else will probably pipe in here that knows the affects of muscle and weight, but you are not gaining because you are exercising per se. Deanna

    Juli, that is just the coolest thing ever!!!! I would love to do that when I get a little smaller and can go faster up hills. Do you all wear the bike shorts and shirts? Does your back hurt or your hands go to sleep? Deanna

  24. Hi you too, I wanted to get your opinions on something. I totally agree with the way you eat and exercise and you both are my role models!!!!! You are both such inspirations to me that to tell you the truth, I search out your posts because you always have awesome advice and healthy ways!!!! Heres the scenerio: I started April 5th with pre op diet at 305.5 Day of surgery, April 19th, was 295 When I went for my first fill at one month, May 21st, I was 273. I was not given a fill because I had lost too much weight. I dealt with that and was fine after about a week. I decided that it would be better to go for a longer time and loose weight on my own without being filled. Ok, now on the 25th of June, I went for my monthly appt. and was 257. No fill for me. The dietician says to me she doesn't want me to snack at all. Three meals a day and 60 grams of protein a day. I am like, I am doing so good and I can't snack??? She says this will be a bad thing to continue to snack. My weight loss is an average of 4 pounds a week. I really trust what you both have to say about this. Is snacking going to do me harm in the long run? I am riding my bike 60-70 miles a week and strength training every other day. I feel like I need more food. She asked me how much food I eat, I told her I can eat about 2 cups at any one meal. Although, I do not eat breakfast, but that is because I am not hungry until about 11 a.m. I also had a doctors appt. on June 25th. The doctor is in a different building than where you go for your fills. He asked me how much I could eat and when I told him he said I needed a fill. I told him they just me no from the fill center that I had lost too much weight. :help::help::help::help::help::help::help::help::help::help::help::help::help::help::help::help::help: What do I do? Stop snacking? Insist on a fill because the doctor thinks I need one? Keep doing what I am doing and don't worry about what any of them say until I start NOT losing????? I think I know the answer you both are going to give me but I am just pissed that they want me to not eat so much, no snacking, no fill..oh brother....confuse!!! My ticker reads that I have lost three more pounds than the doctors have me losing because that is the scale that I can weigh on every week. So the doctors have me down 48 pounds since April 5th. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and hope you have time to respond and give this loser some advice. LOL...thanks... Deanna

    Lee, I was not talking about your bike or how much it cost. I was talking to the ones who are wondering what kind of bike to get. I had a Kmart special too and it lasted about a month before I wanted a better bike. That is what I was referring to...the better the bike the better the ride. I didn't mean for you to take it as a personal attack on your bike. I agree, it is you who does the work!!!! But the better the bike the better the bearings and the better the ride, that is what I was tying to get across to the ones who were wondering about what bike to get. Also, when I got my Raleigh versus my Schwinn it made a huge difference in how far and long I could ride. Sorry if you thought I was putting you down...Deanna
