At the same time I was banded, my older brother decided to lose weight. He was between 335-350 at the time. I did not tell him I was being banded. He decided to do the Low carbs or I should say NO carbs. He lost fast and is now down to 180...He is 6'3". He is sooo skinny now. I told him about six months into being banded that I was banded and he didn't really say much about it. A couple of weeks ago, we were talking about what I ate and I told him I was eating a Skinny Cow ice cream bar at the moment. He came unglues and wanted to know why I was eating that. I told him I can eat anything as long as I be careful and I stay away from rice, Pasta and some other things, most of the time.... He says to me, "Well, if I had that thing you have, I would be 120 by now!!".....wow, I was crushed.....I know it is because he has no idea what it is like to be banded. But, it hurt my feelings A LOT!!! I felt so demoralized and shameful, like I should weigh 120 pounds.... I hope he keeps his weight off forever, but, being the one who has dieted since age 11, I am not sure it will happen that way. Its like because he has lost 170 pounds, and I have only lost 110 pounds that he is working harder at it....I don't know....I don't think I am jealous of him for losing the weight, just don't act like you are so high and mighty because you did it without any help.....

Oh, how fun!!!! I jogged another mile today...did it nonstop. It took 17 minutes....looking at those numbers, it doesn't seem very good.

We had someone steal a huge, and I mean huge old fish tank, it took two people to lift this sucker!!! When we bought our house it was outside under a tree. It was over a 100 gallon tank. Some kids came and stole it in the middle of the night and a police officer happened to drive by them as they were carrying it home....needless to say, at 3 am a knock on the door and there stood the police asking if we owned a huge fish tank!!!!! The stupid thing about it was, instead of making the kids carry it back, they made us go get it!!!!!!!:crying: They were probably thinking about what a great growing tank it would make for their weed!! If they would of just knocked on the door and asked, they could of had the dumb thing, we were gonna take it to the dump and just hadn't done it yet!!!!

I went back to the thread and was reading some of the stuff that they were saying and I wondered if they had EVER listened to themselves.... The are soooooooooooooooo excited to lose all their weight, but WAIT, no one is saying anything about the arteries, which are so clogged by eating all the fried fat and greasy crap that they are going to be in the hospital having bypass(not gastric)!!! Man, the more I read, the more I could see this evil thing that comes out in them. They are sooooooooooo proud to be able to eat crap, GARBAGE, and put that into their bodies.....truly sad!!! The other I noticed when I looked at the before and afters is this....I was being very non judgmental....at least 50% of the people look so much older after losing weight. Several look very unhealthy. Everyone on the lap band pictures looks vibrant, healthy, younger....

Could make one with an opening where the number reads and then make a circle with different sayings on it and attach that on the back so the saying show through the hole where the number should be and you can rotate it to say what you want....like.... I noticed today that my BMI is 30.9 and overweight is 29.9 I am sooooooooooooooooooo excited!!! I am going to be just overweight and not obese anymore.....YIPPEEEE... I remember reading a post op note from a surgery I had in 2005 and the surgeon put morbidly obese.....I was appauled!!!!!!! How could anyone say that?????? I can remember crying after reading that!!!! That made me sick to my stomach that someone would think that about me, although I didn't realize it was the BMI she was referring to, it might as well of read, "This big fat lazy pig of a lady"!!! Now, I will never have to see morbidly, or even obese again!!!!!!

Quick story here....I ate bread.....first time in 16 months, I had a slice of bread, toasted it, put an oz of meat and one think slice of cheese and had my a sandwich. Well, I guess it was ok, wasn't what I remembered....not the great thing of the past....but it took me over twenty minutes to eat that piece of bread cuz I was scared out of my wits that I would get stuck....I didn't though.

We had a guy on here that had one....JCGrove29 is his user name....he lives in Florida and says they are really not good for hills. I don't think I would want one, it doesn't look like people could see you. They can't seem to see a bike that is upright, I can't imagine what would happen with one that is laying down...just my opinion
