J, oh I didn't mean to make it sound like hubby was being rude, he by no means was!!!! He kept saying to do it he could get me in. It was me who was freaking out!!!!! I know I should of just did it, but I hate to be the one who gets laughed at AGAIN!!! We are going camping this weekend, I will try it then, good, bad, or fat!!!! I am off to do my strength training now. Hope you like the HUGE ass pictures I put on....I don't know how to resize them. I did have to edit the post three times to get the pictures that I wanted, but I finally figured it out!!!!!

J, You biked an extreme amount of miles this weekend. You would NOT of been able to do that without fueling your body. Your body is going to burn fat, but you have to have an input of energy too. My thought is that your muscles are still in recovery mode right now, holding onto water to repair. A day or two and you will have lost that 2 pounds plus some. Also, what about the other factors? Did you eat something with more sodium than usual, you did say you detoured for lunch, was is restaurant food, which has lots of sodium????? Is it PMS pounds???? I really think that your body holds onto all the water you can drink when you are biking like that. You are sweating sooo much and I think your body doesn't want to let it go, it needs it to repair. J, you are sooooo awesome and have done sooo damn good. 74 pounds!!!!!!! WHAT? DID I SAY 74 POUNDS??????? That is freakin awesome!!!! How many times have you lost 74 pounds and knew in your heart that it was really the LAST time you would ever see those 74 pounds?????? You rock sistah!!!! About the pictures, I tried to post some pictures and it said they were too big. Maybe I will try to paste some, but I wish I knew how people were putting up their before and afters with no problems. Maybe I will do a search on that..... HP, thank you for the compliment. Also, I would think that canoeing would be an extreme amount of calories burned!!!!! Google calories burned by canoeing and see what you come up with. I bet it is A LOT!!!! We went to the lake both Sat and Sun and I really really really wanted to get into the water from the boat but, once again the fat fear monster wouldn't let me. We don't have a ladder or platform on the back of the boat, so you have to get helped in. I was scared if I jumped off, my poor DH who weighs in at 169...the jerk....would NOT be able to help me get back in the boat. So, once again, I did not get to have as much fun as if I was thin and boating. I keep saying next year, next year. But, you know what??? I am TIRED of thinking next year. I want to live my life now!!!!! I am sooooooo tired of waiting....shit, I feel better now...thanks all for listening... Oh, BTW, I go to the fill appt. today. I will ask the EP what he thinks about the weight gain after biking so much this weekend. Maybe he can give some insight to it.

You all rock!!!!! You all got it going on!!!!! That is so many miles, J, you are the queen!! And it is good to have someone to challenge us. HP, 18 miles is great!!! Pretty soon you will be doing 50!!! J, what is going on with the Vegas plans? Is there any new info? I rode 23.5 miles this morning....wow...I can't even imagine how your ass feels J, if my feels that way it does now!!

You are soooo welcome. I don't think we should be out in the dark on these machines. We are the ones who have to use them, we should be able to adjust them to make them the best for us.

Saturday the 21. Day off today!!!!
-
JC, didn't anyone ever teach you NOT to answer the phone on a day off???? I will get some exercise in for you, hoping on 20-30 miles tomorrow. The lake was great and def. better than being hot all day.
-
oh okay, at least you are doing something constructive with your time. We are off to the lake so have a great day all!!!

Do you have a laptop??? It happens to me too and I was wondering what the heck I was doing to make it do this. I am going to remove the backspace key...LOL...

Bad news from my doctor
areellady replied to cookielover's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
well, look at the before and after pictures of people. THAT right there is proof that 20-50 pounds is not accurate!!! You doctor sounds like he will benefit and pad his wallet if you elect the bypass. I am three months out and have lost over 60, I DO NOT agree with your doctor at all. A lot of bypass people that I know have gained their weight back, and there is nothing that can help them from doing so. I think you need to find a doctor that is supportive of the lap band. -
Oh great!!! I know what you mean about being scared!!! I was too when I did it on the first machine, even though I had the instructions to do it. I only knew how to change the Remstar because of the fact that when they came to set up the new machine, they asked me what pressure I was at, and I told them 10, so he changed it right there in front of me. SOOOO glad it worked for you and hope that you can sleep better now!!

I don't think anyone on this thread IS right in the head, are they? J, well, I am glad that I know what restriction feels like. What I am wondering though, why do some people have it without any fills and some don't. I have the bigger band. Don't get me wrong, I am glad I have it, but just wondering what the reson might be. Are we still swollen from surgery? I would think not, but who knows??? Congrats, on getting the riding in. I know how much you love it and so glad you are getting some really good time in this weekend. BG, where are you??????? Annie??? Hp????? probably out riding their bikes....

-
I truly hope that it is going to be the best thing around. THAT would be awesome!!
-
JC, you are so awesome. You are such a better person for what you have gone through. You can really tell by what you say that you are alright, and you will succeed!!! Annie, so it that what stuck feels like???? COOL BEANS!!!! I mean, not that I like it, but if I still have restriction then no way am I getting a fill. Now, turn around Annie, your getting an ass kicking. NO MORE JUNK FOOD!!!!!! I mean it!!! NO MORE!! What good is that going to do your body??? Now, lesson learned, and no more. I WILL stick you in the corner next time. You will not be happy about that. No, seriously, under 2000 on a binge is pretty damn good girl.....think about before banding. 2000 was just a drop in the bucket!!

The other night I had a pulled muscle and all I wanted to do was go to bed. After showering, I just got into bed and forgot to put the mask on. I fell asleep and did wake up a lot during the night, but I didn't wake feeling like I was dead, or clawing my way out of the bed trying to get air. I did put it on about 4 a.m. and then did not wake back up. I still think I have a little ways to go before completely going off of it.

ok, I had posted a long response last nite and LOST it. Sometimes I hate this laptop!!! I keep pushing some key that erases everything I write, and sometimes this happens several times with one post!!! Pisses me off!!! JC, I really didn't want you to think that I was feeling sorry for you. I hate when people act like they feel sorry for me. I just know some of the pain you were talking about, and it sure does a job on your self esteem. This time though, JC, you are NOT going to gain it back and you are going to be healthy for the rest of your life!!! Isn't that the best feeling. BEING HEALTHY FOREVER!!! I love that thought. I am now down to the lowest weight I was in 2001 when I was doing WW. I started at 270 and got down to 244 but it took me SIX MONTHS TO DO IT!!!!!! So, I am officially so happy with myself!!!I really don't remember when the last time I was under 220. I know when I got married in 1993 I was a size 20 dress, but I don't know how much I weighed. SO, I am very happy and trying to focus on those good things instead of worrying about getting filled. J, do you ever feel like you get stuck even though you have no fill???? I was very good about eating slow and chewing 30 times for a long time, but then I figured, why? since I don't have a fill, so I got out of that habit and sometimes, like last night, if I eat too fast or dont chew I get this huge pain smack in the middle of my chest!!! I have to stop eating and move around and put my arms above my head and then sometimes I will burp and the pain is gone, but I am no longer hungry. Just wondering if you had experienced this with no fill. Thanks!!! EVeryone, lets get our asses on our bikes this weekend!!!!!

I am not doubting the sweat and heart rate. I just don't know what kind of workout it really is with your heart rate only being up for 4 minutes. That is what I am skeptical about, not the fact that it is a good workout and makes you sore. I would too be interested in knowing what would happen if you stopped doing all the other exercising that you do and see what would happen. Also, the other exercising getting easier might not be from the ROM but that you are getting stronger and more stamina in that particular exercise. I sure hope it is the ROM, cuz 4 minutes would be a great way to go!!!! I think I will print out the info and take it to my exercise physiologist and see what he says. Maybe he can verify somethings. Good luck and keep on sweating!!!
