I am looking for bander's in Prescott area. I am scheduled to be banded on Sept 19th and would love to have area support. Anyone out there?

Nora - My goodness - just trying to type to you has been a challenge. This new sight is horrible!!!!!!! I couldn't even find you for a long time. my personal e-mail is c4page@gmail.com. If you send me message there, I won't have to deal with this. My question to you is.....do you feel any restriction yet? I go in next Tuesday and I am hoping for something. I have lost 1 (one) in the last month!!!!! What a waste of money this was for me so far. It had better get better!!!!

WOW! Am glad I stopped in. Had my first fill about 1 week now. Had 3cc in to start. She took all fluid out to start and then put 2 more cc in so total of 5 cc's. But I am not feeling any restriction yet and am not loosing any weight. Kinda down mood as I thought I would be really seeing something happen now and I am not!! After 2 weeks, if I am still like this - I'm going to call and see if they can get me in earlier for another fill. This is worthless if it don't work. I'm sure it will if they just fill me up enough.

IH ad Nirmul and he was great. I liked his bedside manner also. He did a great job on me and I was in pain for the first 3 days and then get just keeps getting better. Have now had my first fill - but can't really tell anything has happened. Am still eating just fine. Think I need more of a fill but they don't have me scheduled for another month.

Banded on the 19th of Sept and am now feeling great. Have not started doing vaccumning and such as I can't have this band slipo r anything. I want no complications from this at all. Started eating soft foods yesterday. Pureed cottage chees & pumpkin soup. This morning I did have a couple of bites ot a cheese omlet. Am loosing weight, but still taking it pretty easy. Have started lifing a few things but am being careful with that too. I just don't want anything to go wrong. Congrds to you Junkie - I think we are going to love it on this side.

congrads!!!!!! Glad to hear that you are doing well. It seems to go differently for different people. I get banded day after tomorrow on the 19th Am getting alittle nervous - but am sure will be fine. Now you get to start that new life. :-)

If you were just banded Wednesday - how did you get Gas-X down? Are they chewable? I am getting banded on the 19th ...maybe I need to get some. You sound as if you are doing really well. And you didn't talk about the pain - so it must not of been that bad. I am planning on sitting around and watching tv the day after I am banded and getting up to take short walks around house during the commercials

Well - I am scheduled for the 19th. I am excited. But I seem to be ok with everything. Just waiting till it gets here. I went out and splurged the day before I started the pre-op diet. Went to Golden Corral. And the day before that I had a Blizzard from Dairy Queen. But I am doing fine now. Got all my wants out of the way. On my pre-op diet I can have 1 meal a day.... Breakfast = protein shake; Lunch - protein shake; Dinner = 6-8 oz meat, 1 cup veggies, 1 cup fruit. Fun fun fun!! So far I am doing ok on it. Afernoons I get leg aches from not eating - but sure feel good after my dinner :-)

I am Sept 19th for sure now (unless I chicken out). I am so nervous and excited all at the same time!!

I am to meet Dr. Nirmul on Aug 27th also. 1:30. So looks like I will be meeting some of you. I am going to ask a question about the pain meds. I have always had a rough time wit pain meds with upset stomach. I want to know if I can take a shot of the meds before surgery to make sure my tummy won't be upset. I understand that we don't want any vomiting so I would like to see what it does to me before hand.

I am going to True Results in Scottsdale also. My Surgeon will be Dr Nirmul. I just got scheduled yesterday for 9/16 although I my be able to move it up some. I live in the Prescott area - is there anyone out there from here? Would love to start a support group up here as I can't get to the one's down there

True Results in Scottsdale. Are you getting banded in Sept or have you gone through it. Where did you get banded?

got a question. Just got the "Big Lapband book" last week and have almost completed it. !. What is the dumping syndrome? 2. After surgery how do you sleep? I always sleep on my sides. Will I only be able to sleep on one side now because the portal will be on the other side? Will it be like that forever or will you forget it is even there after a while? Thanks to anyone who can answer

I am a self pay. They told me the end of Sept. I live in Arizona also. They drew blood and did all test. Didn't say anything to me about psych eval to me - but read about it. Am very nervous. What a lifestyle change. But I know I have to do this for my health!!
