Jo-Bug, I'm on this journey with you! I'm undecided as to which procedure to have & have many hoops to jump through on the way to the Operating Room. I also have a powerful tool I'm going to suggest to you as I understand chemical addiction from a personal as well as a Professional vantage point. I have and am a certified Life Coach and have a Bachelors degree in Chemical addiction. If you're interested or want to know more about how being coached to do what is required to get you to that special day, the day you are approved for WLS please lmk via private message or on this forum. my name is Pat. You CAN meet the requirement. It takes some persistent effort but with a support structure in place - your "dream" can come true! Private message me - lets talk, because you already know that you want to change and have life restoring surgery so give yourself a gift that will get you there. I look forward to being on the journey with you.

Scared of every hiccup (and burp)
pjb84 replied to Jerseyslved's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi everyone , I'm new to this site & am hoping someone can direct me to the page where you talk about how you decided on which surgery to have? Or how you decided to have the sleeve? I was definitely planning on the sleeve but after my first support group meeting I'm not so sure anymore! Please help! Pjb -
Any pre-op / post-op sleevers from Hudson Valley NY area?
pjb84 replied to Velveteen's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi fellow Hudson Valley-ites! I live in Red Hook (northern Dutchess County) and will be sleeved at Albany Medical. I'm so glad,to see others from the area! Lets stay connected! Pjb -
Just curious: after surgery are you eating according to hunger or schedule?

Good morning! Has anyone had their surgery at Albany Medical center in NY with Dr. Paul Singh? That is who is slated to do mine. Did you know ahead of time what his stats were?

Fiddleman, When were you sleeved?

Please HELP!

GERD can absolutely cause the symptoms you mentioned. Also having his Gallbladder out causes a host of digestive problems as well! Saying a prayer for him right now! -
Hi Nannyw3kids, I'm in the Albany Medical center program and, am wondering how your surgery went? How far along you are and anything else that you care to share?

Hello fellow NY and other sleevers! I'm a newbie but have been lurking awhile! I am in the beginning stages. I had my initial workup 14 mos ago and a follow up last month. I'm in the Albany Medical Center program. Anyone else had their procedure there? I'd love to connect... Ive done a ton of research and definitely hope the sleeve will be approved by my insurance. (MEDICARE) BY the time I'm prepped and ready! I have my initial nutrition consult and education in 2 weeks. I've lost 10#s towards my necessary loss. I finally understand that its a "tool" - one of many that will help me get healthy. I look forward to moving ahead with you and receiving tips & tidbits as well as encouraging you on the journey! !

I'm new here and am praying right now for peace and confidence! God is for you!

I've read that Medicare is still on the fence related to the sleeve getting approved. Has anyone waited and then had to choose a different procedure? Which did you go with and why? I really want the sleeve but unless they decide favorably by the fall I'm not going to be able to have the surgery of my choice.
