i like the vanilla one you can mix tons of stuff into vanilla powder. The casein is tough to find alot of flavors. Ive only seen the chocolate and vanilla
-
Gold standard casein protein powder Super slow burning and tastes great
-
Thats all that matters. Somedays i can eat at all some days i can. You'll be good after a few more days. Good job on the 16 pounds
-
To answer the only question you asked, yes you will be able to eat solid foods probably not everything you may want to eat and some days will be different then others. Just try it out you'll find stuff that works
-
There are Tons of different flavors out there i recomend trying them all at some point just read the specs on the back of the juggs to see how much protein you're actually getting surprisingly some dont have that much Go Figure. Also see the added sugars and things because obviously you dont want wasted calories from alot of sugar addatives
-
Most powders desolve in hot water, put the powder into a cup and add the tiniest bit of hot water into it shake it around then add your cold liquid to it
-
Muscle milk tastes soo good but i prefer all natural so it doesnt adatives like sugars or sweeteners
-
I use gold standard natural chocolate flavor its all matural no artificial flavoring or sugar added
-
Ive been usin casein for a few months now and its been great i get the orotein i need and its slow burning so i really dont have an appetite through out the day i have a shake for breakfast and lunch then eat a regular dinner then some days i'll eat lunch and dinner but i always have a casein shake for breakfast
-
Also its all natural

Based on their website they seem a bit expensive 17 scoops for 22 bucks. I use gold standard casein protein its slow burning and really curbs your appetite in place of meals. You can buy a 5lb tub of powder for 55 dollars it will last you a long time

Havent traveled yet but flying to florida on september first i'll tell you what i look forward to not being able to eat alot i'll stretch my hundred dollar disney meal for days haha : )
-
Yeh thats what she said she also said sometimes if it sits too long then you go for a fill the saline could be pushed back through the tubing and just needs that push. I guess ince you hit green it wouldnt matter but i think im one fill away because after she did that and then added my fill i was nice and restricted up until a few days ago so its been about 3 weeks

Can i tell you honestly for a year i was the same way it was like some days i could eat whatever i wanted no issue eating cheeseburgers at a bbq and then others i couldnt eat at all no matter how hungry i was. I hadnt been back to the dr in a year and hadnt been filledin a year. When i went in i told the nurse about everything( all the nurses in my dr office have been banded they know their stuff) i asked if there was something wrong she said no. I wanted a fill, after a year of nkt getting a fill it was tougher than normal she said its like having to oil a rusty wheel. She removed some fill and put it back in along with my new fill and since that day (july 15th) i lost 20lbs and feel alot better i dont have that issue with eating everything in sight and it feels like im back to when i was first banded. More energy more care more happiness : ) in my opinion i'd go get a fill if worse comes to worse you can get the fill taken out! The perks of the lap band. Good Luck

Stock up on protein powder and almond milk not only will you be getting the protein you need they are also flavored with crazy flavors now so instead of eating cake drink the cake batter flavored protein. -
I have that same issue 3 weeks after fill im good i drink protein shakes for breakfast and lunch and im full and then i eat a small dinner usually tuna or grilled chicken and vegetables then once that fourth week hits i get hungry faster and feel like i could eat anything. It just in my mind to just continue on regardless of the hunger. On those days i usually eat lunch instead of the shake that way i get the same protein and kills the hunger

Also recovery is pretty quick only bad thing about travel is you won't have the essential things to eat after surgery like your puree food. I was back at work 2 days after surgery
-
After insurance is approved the only thing required is setting up your surgery daye and any diet prior to the surgery your dr wants you on. The diet isnt to lose weight more so to shrink yiur liver to make the surgery easier
-
Think about it this way, you go into any restaurant order your favorite food and you literally eat such a small portion because it will fill you up that you just bought lunch or dinner for a week and you can eat your favorite food everyday! Some people cant physically eat rice or bread i had minimal issues with it if i ate it slow it would be fine no issue but that is also my downfall because once i realized i could eat it i did and i stopped losing weight and gained some back

What happens when....
rob c replied to ChloeHouston's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The biggest perk of the having a lap band instead of bypass is its 100% reversable. Maybe you should ask the dr to remove some of the fill to lessen your restriction so that you dont throw up every time you eat. I was having the same issue and i started fresh i had them take out my fills and start slowly once i did that everything seems to be better. But if you feel you made the wrong choice if you have the insurance or money to get it removed then go for it its a faster surgery than getting banded. Good luck either way its definetly a big commitment and i know at 17 i didnt want anything stopping me from anything lol -
Could be scar tissue my incision above my port has a bad lump of scar tissue but i guess it happens

Where did you notice the loss first?
rob c replied to deleteme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Face, forearms and legs it starts to look pretty funny when i have skinny arms and legs but still have the gut lol -
Good luck all of you!!! You will be so happy after you do it. After you get into a groove you will totally forget you even have the thing lol
-
Doesnt sound weird if i drop 5 lbs you can drastically tell in my face and forearms. Keep up the good work i think my next fill is going to br the green for me because im almost at the perfect restriction
