  1. Yep, there with you. Lost 86 lbs, gained 25 lbs from before holiday to recently. I've taken 8 of it back off now have to work on the rest. Sometimes I just get tired of being good. I don't want another fill as I don't li thee stuck episodes and believe there would be more. I just have to break away from the bad habits that I've managed to pick up. Face it, the band doesn't do this for us, its a tool. We have to get our heads in to it. I suggest setting a small goal and working toward it. I get discouraged if I try to take big steps.

  2. I find it's more of a frame of mind. I slipped (rather easily) back into some old snacking habits and am now having to backtrack a little. I find that if I'm not careful I could undo everything the band helped me do. Don't get me wrong, I love what I've accomplished with the band; but it's a tool. Just a tool. I still love food. Now, with the help of the band, I have more control.

  3. Focusing on solid Protein and way less soft foods like hummus this week. Avoiding noodles and potatoes. I have a fill appointment Tuesday. I'll discuss with my nurse and decide if a tiny fill is in order. Happy Monday! Fasting day today.

Me too. Waay too good to myself the last 2 weeks. Haven't been motivated to exercise either. Starting fresh today. Junk and family gone, should be able to focus on me. I believed this was a lifestyle change and I still do, but old habits don't die hard.

  4. and pies, cakes, etc. So, while most of the rest of the world was eating Thanksgiving Lunch/Dinner, Me and hubby were building shelves at my office. My Thanksgiving dinner is today. My kids are all going to be here as well as a few inlaws and maybe a few outlaws. We are doing turkey and dressing and all the trimmings. I'm even trying a few new recipes, none of them excessively healthy. I've made a vow to avoid the "blts" as weight watchers put it BITES, LICKS, TASTES, samples. Hubby is going to play that role, since he loses weight much easier than I do. Wish me luck. Last Thanksgiving, I got stuck on my first piece of turkey and ruined my dinner. This year, I'm really looking forward to it and have vowed to keep it healthy, or at least as healthy as I know how. No leftovers kept here at the house. Fortunately, I have 5 teenage grandsons, so I don't expect there will be many of those anyway. Happy Thanksgiving everybody from our family.

  5. I put knife holes in mine to let it steam then put it in the microwave for 6-8 minutes, then rotate it and cook for 4-5 more. Then I cut it lengthways. Scoop the seed and mush out. Shred the spaghetti out with a fork and put in with alfredo sauce. Delicious. Hubby likes it too. We tried making a spaghetti sauce for it, but didn't really care for it. There's lots of receives on the internet for it.

  6. When our kids moved out (empty nest syndrome) we started going in separate directions, or better yet, realized we'd already been doing that. I worried a lot that we'd have nothing in common. so, we started searching out mutual interests and it really wasn't that hard to find some. We are happily incompatible. If you love each other, its possible, if not, it may be a futile challenge. I for one would not be in a relationship for somebody else even for my child. The relationship has to be about the two of you.
