I never did report it. My surg kept getting pushed back. I was scheduled at 9am and didn't go in til 1pm. Didn't get out of surg clinic til around 4. Guess everybody else was having a bad day too.

You got this Christina. You'll do great. My motto is "Everyday I begin my journey again" because there are stumbling blocks along the way and I keep having to jump swerve and dive. But, I'll get there and you will to.

Surgery tmrw / having second thoughts
SandyM replied to MACbabyxo's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Some and I say some superficial bleeding ok. If it gets to be much call dr. Pain gets better and some emotion after surg normal too. You got this and keep us posted. -
Thanks all. Like I said just getting it off my chest. Already flipped the page and moved on.

Poll: Do you let Food sit in your esophagus? Or wash it down with liquids?

Ummmmmm. Eggs. -
Your girl have been a real inspiration to me with the no fills thing. I have 2.5 cc total in my band and don't think I'm going to do any more. I feel like the band as it is now, doesnt have me in the green zone but has given me some control. I'm not necessarily hungry but do have to mind my snacking and grazing. I do believe the plications is responsible for that. I'll see how it goes. I know there are no guarantees, but as its going now, I'm happy with it.

I do understand this. Guess some folks just have the need to feel like elitist. I still enjoy the forum though. I try to ignore the over excessive horn tooters.

As stated, evaluate why you are getting stuck. I find that if I get stuck its either too large a bite, eating too fast or not chewing well. Fix this first. If you don't the stuck episodes will increase and they are not pleasant. good luck.

I don't know how to add friends:(

Thanks but no thanks. I didn't go through all of this just to have to go to my surgeon and admit that the reason I'm screwed up is cuz I chose to disregard his or her instructions. I have been a nurse for 20 years and know my surgeons very well and respect their advise and opinions. I wouldnt have trusted my body to them if I had not. I really don't think its a very good idea to come on to a forum and advise people to disregard their surgeons advise and present your opinion like it is expert opinion. And......I don't think their is any food sitting above my band. If there was, I'm sure my body would tell me. -
Thanks Avis. Those I'm talking about know who they are.

Somebody tell me how to make the quotes work!!! I have to add the quote after I do my typing. If I add it first, it sticks my posting right in the middle of the quotes. -

So, how did it go? Hopefully you're done and on the road to recovery. -
I'm so proud of you

Don't miss any appts. I don't know about your insurance but with mine if I skipped one of those 6 months, I would have had to start over.
-
Use a heating pad, walk frequently and just remember this is all temporary. You'll progressively start feeling better.

You look fantastic.

And candy makes you crave mroe candy. I find if I can totally avoid it I am better off. If I have 1 piece, all bets are off. Forgive yourself and start over. We all have our moments of weakness, that's why we're here.

The last thing you need to do is be ashamed to visit your surgeon. You must see him to get back on track and if you don't you'll probably never forgive yourself

I find that if I stand straight up and raise my arms in the air it helps me get unstuck faster

It's sort of modified version of sleeve..no cutting or removal. The fold the stomach in on itself and stitch it. I had it and not in the green but am doing great. Some have band and plication and never any fills

GF I'm so excited for you!!!

Mandamom is right. I would be surprised if everyone that went through this surgery didn't nave the same feelings. I lost like 14lbs on preop diet and almost talked myself into canceling surg and just doing preop diet til weight was gone. What a disaster that would have been. You got this. And after you start losing don't be sabotaged by those who tell you you've lost enough or are starting to look sick. People mean well but you are their comfort zone too. A lot of people here are off their diabetes meds and bp meds due to their wt loss and living the lives they want and need to live. Whatever you decide has to be right for you. I've list 50 lbs in 6 months and have no regrets.

You have a lot to celebrate:)

Fantastic. Keep it up
