I hope you're feeling better. Sometimes you think sweets will make you feel better but they only make you feel worse. When I want something sweet, I try diet hot chocolate -
Weight Loss Surgery and Constipation: The Key Ingredients
SandyM replied to Sally Johnston's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Magazine
Yeah, I think it's a fine art to manage. -
Me too; also the EAS advantage

I definitely see the difference. I lost 5 lbs a month up til the last 10 now it's plateau after plateau, but that's ok. I'm not regaining at least

You are a true inspiration. The body image thing is something I don't think any of us thought about. We expected that our body image was supposed to be "off" while we were overweight, but figured it would improve with wt loss. Don't get me wrong, it feels a lot nicer when I can't find my size cuz I'm smaller, but I'm waiting for the time when my wt plays no favor in my lifestyle at all.

I had surgery Friday, back to work on Monday. I was a home health nurse climbing in and out of my car all day....wouldn't do that again. I needed at least one more day.

Hubby and I traveled this weekend to watch my 2nd to the oldest get hitched. Normally I don't do pictures, but I smiled through wedding pictures. Also, though I'm not the bikini type, I did get into some short shorts and bikini top (not ready to show that off yet☺️ So I wore a tee over it.). I went into a swimming pool in public for the 1st time in 30 years.

Thanks ladies. It's actually her 2nd marriage, the first guy was and still is a jerk. I believe she's finally found the love of her life after being a single mom for 10 years. As for the tee-shirt, I kept invisioning that string and cup holder beneath it coming off in the pool????

You'll do great. It's been a journey worth making

I'm trying to get there too, I have a love hate relationship with my scales.

Thanks. It just amazes me how good the normal things feel.

Thanks -
Eat for 20 minutes, protein first, complex carbs 2nd then simple. Mine told me if I saw that I had room left for simple carbs, he'd prefer I had another serving of protein.

My experience was it took 3 weeks to feel the full effects of my last fill

You'll do fine. I found that the more I researched it the more scared I got. The intenet is full of people who did not do good with the band for whatever reason and feel they need to rescue the rest of us. I found that I had to really filter and what I read and I'm glad I did.

I agree with the above list. I also notice that somepeople say yogurt and Protein bars, but I too don't classify them as a slider food for myself. I do find that chili doesn't stick with me for long and my doctor calls chili a slider food. Another slider is cold Cereal, even though it has a crunch. I think most of your real simple carbs qualify. I even heard someone say that if you use dressings to help you get your chicken down, it makes chicken a slider food, but I don't agree as it is still a dense protein and sends saity signals.

I've never heard of anyone passing out, but I guess it could be as much anxiety as anything and maybe you vagaled. As for why you can't eat is because with a fill you usually have a little swelling around the band and you don't want to stress the band site. You do liquids to rest the band. alot of times people say they don't feel the fill for a few weeks. How long are you staying full after you eat and are you sure its hunger and not head hunger. I'm a grazer and have to pay very close attention to this as usually, its not really hunger though it presents itself that way. Also, the idea isn't to feel full but to feel satisified. We train ourselves all of our lives to fill up as much as we can and most of the times we miss the signals that our body sends to say we've had enough.

I'm so sorry to hear you're having such a bad time. I was just wondering, if the plication is not enough, are you going to be able to get your insurance to pay for a different weight-loss surgery?

If you have a cvs, they have adult liquid acetaminophen

Glad it's going good for you:)

You are getting there. Keep it up.
