Haven't been on for a while... But had to share a victory. Tried on some new jeans..... My skinniest ones have baggy butt!! Size 14 was too big. 12 a little snug but can button n zip!! Not bad since 2 months ago I was in an 18!! Down almost 30#. Yippee.

Has this week started over?? Is it Monday again?? Still?? Ok I now know why I am bitchy and craving. I haven't had "the visitor" for years.... Thank you ablation!!! Today I am sick with bronchitis, feel like I have coughed my band loose, can't poop, get stuck... I mean stuck!! For the first time and start!!! When I am done fishing I am going home to bed!! Lol. Just thought I would share.

A month and 5 days post op and who comes down with bronchitis....... Ugh I'm dying Called dr to make sure I can't "cough the band loose" I think they got a kick out of that.... But she agreed I may feel like I have.... And I do!!! Seen regular dr. After testing me for a blood clot in every location possible he says a virus... It will go away... -

What the hell does that mean?!?! I mean when I touch my skin it feels doughy. Not like muscle.... Not like fat.... Like dough. Any ideas or have I lost brain function as well!???? Maybe that's those recent 6#

The dermatologist I worked for always suggested plain vaseline on surgical sites to speed healing and reduce scars. I haven't been as diligent this time... However you can't see where I had my gall bladder removed!

Yes I am having major regrets of being banded. I am out 3 weeks. Have been on soft foods for a week and now am having terrible pain issues. After I eat it feels like a pipe going thru my chest. Called dr, did liquids 24 hours, progress back to soft and it started again. I am not living the rest of my life on liquids. This may come out faster than it went in.

Doing much better.. Started taking beano, couldn't find phazyme... Has helped so much... Also have some isopure to help with dehydration and inc protein. Feeling human.

You are right. Why someone can't ask a question and answer comments without drama is beyond me. But there is one person on here who no matter what the post is.... She starts crap with someone. Had barium swallow (yum yum yum) Everything is fine. He thinks its coffee and eggs my stomach can't tolerate. I'm not even going to mention our discussion on "fill volume of band"

No.... In fact I just asked my hubby who was with me. I asked how much fill was in my band and she said "we don't add anything until your healed... All that's in it it was the manufacturer puts in it..... And then I got speech about how people get stuck on the numbers of how much fill they have. I am not an easily confused medically uneducated person. I have a degree in science and work in the medical field.

Maybe you have a different band? I really don't see the purpose of my doc and his staff lying to me about how much Fluid is in my band.

A 14 (I think, was half drugged still when they told me) and no fill other than the 3 cc that comes in it.

Please go to webmd and get an accurate definition of c-diff. It is in everyone's system. When on large doses of strong antibiotics that kill the good bacteria in our system the not so good ones (c-diff) have a chance to over populate! You don't catch it from the toilet.

On my way to my first visit.... Feeling like this has been useless. I read where people have lost 15-30 pounds by now.... I think I lost 12. Found out my scales are broke. A can weigh 198 and 206 within 30 seconds of each other!!! Ugh. Just not a skippy day. And I want a cigarette!!! Yes still smoke free 6 days.

Hello all, I was banded on 9/3 in champaign, il. My starting wt was 221, went in for my one week post op and am down 12#. I was not impressed, office was happy! They say that lower BMI bandits loose slower than higher BMI. I wanna drop 20# a month too!!!!!

Thanks for the encouragement. Think I was having a hissy fit moment. I have lost 12 pounds which they think is wonderful. I'm not impressed. They did tell me to up my protein as that im not eating enough. Started in mushers tonite. 5 bites if chicken I was done. That was at 6. Still not hungry but, I feel like I can't get enough to drink! Prob from heat and humidity here.

Lab work done, chest X-ray and EKG signed off on. Meds are at Walgreens. (holy cow they are expensive) pantry stocked and my sitter to arrive on Monday. (mom coming to stay with us for a week, hope enough Vicodin to knock me out!) Tuesday at 12:00 I become a banded woman. Excited, scared, nervous, anxious.... It is all in effect.
