Before and after 11 months !

Mjrevel, you look so great!!!! It's really encouraging to see your progress. Can you include your height, starting weight and current weight. Your before pic looks a lot like me physically, especially in the breasts. I just curious where you started. Thanks again for sharing! You truly look amazing.

  3. Report her in writing to the Dr. and the tactics or hospital she works for. It was rude, inappropriate and unsolicited!

    weight gained back

Yes Ntvtxn, sounds like that's whats coming down the like across the country due to a lot of complications and lower rates of success. I do personally know someone that was successful with lap band, but there must be reasons it is becoming a less popular choice.

  9. That's really too bad. I thanked her for her info prior to seeing how immature and catty she started getting later in the thread.

    Scared I'll fail @ this!

I'm also terrified of failing. Especially because I have no energy or motivation. That's one if my reasons for wanting surgery. Hopes that weight loss with increase my energy. It is scary, but hopefully we will all be successful.

    frustrating

It's considered medically necessary and not cosmetic by insurance companies when the patient has a BMI over 40 or a BMI over 35 with comorbidities ( health problems such as hbp, diabetes, sleep apnea etc.)
  12. I got an approval letter today in the mail, but I was approved for RNY. I have to call the coordinator on Monday and fond out what the deal is because I had decided on the sleeve. Hoping it was just an error when it was submitted. As far as I know, Anthem blue cross of Cali covers the sleeve. Guess ill find out soon enough.

    ANTHEM BLUE CROSS ?

My approval came from Anthem of Cali. No 6 month is supervised diet for me. Just psych eval, nutrition consult, endoscopy, esophageal manometry and proof of last physical exam within the yr before they submitted to insurance.

    Anxiety level

Mine was pretty easy. I V put in, rolled into another room. Dr spoke to me about what he would be doing, they gave me meds, I was talking and then next thing I know, I was being woken up by dr talking to me telling me I did great. The one thing I will say, is that I was tired and groggy the rest of the day and had to sleep it off.
  16. I'm feeling the same way. My paperwork was submitted to insurance last Monday so I'm impatiently waiting. Hoping to hear something soon!
