I Want To See Before & After Pics!

Thank you guys for sharing your pics. You all look so great!!!! It's really inspiring and it's appreciated:)
  6. You poor thing. You've been through so much... I'm expecting to be sleeved in August. I sure do hope I don't experience anything like that. I'm glad you are optimistic about the outcome and that you are starting to feel better. Where are you from? Where did you have surgery?
  7. Check out vsggoodlife.com. It's an old blog from someone, but she has before and after pics with a belly and you can really see the progress. I was quite impressed. Unfortunately, she hasn't posted to it since 2011, but the info is still useful.

Maybe i am the only one

nursebarbie, try and ignore those with negative posts. there are so many others that have positive things to say. Im, still post op and get much more info from others can any support I can give, but I do see how some people are just abrasive in how they say things without any consideration to how others may feel. I find it disheartening that people have to write "please don't judge me," or "Go easy on me" on their posts when asking for support. After all, this is a support forum. I personally have enjoyed reading your posts.

5'6" and weighed 225-235 surgery day?

I'm 5'6 and 230 pounds. I will be sleeved in August. Can you guys share a little about your diets and what worked for you to lose. I'm worried I won't be successful.

Can someone explain this to me...?

Sharonintx, I've read some of your other posts and know you take a more liberal approach to eating compared to some others on this site. I don't want to be a slave to Protein shakes and always have to do low carb everything. But I have a 37 BMI and worried I won't have weight loss. Can you talk a little about your diet and what's worked for you to lose without being super, super strict. Thanks:)

BMI 35 and insurance approved? ?

Hi, I'm waiting for a surgery date because I was approved for RNY and it was supposed to be the sleeve so it had to be resubmitted to change the code. My dr's office doesn't set dates until everything is back approved. I'm hoping for an August date and my coordinator seems to think that wont be a problem. It was a first submission approval so hopefully you will get approved too. Where are you from?

Best money i have ever spent

Vitamin is the best!!! That's great you had the gift certificates to help out with the expense. I paid full price, but got mine through QVC and did 5 value pays so that was helpful. I know Costco has a good deal too if you pay it all at once.

    I need Advice!

Just my opinion, but I would wait on sleeve f your daughter. This is something that cannot be taken back and she may not be able to deal with the consequences of the decision made. She wants the surgery because she doesn't want to be made fun on, which is totally understandable. I felt the same way as an obese 14 yr old. I would take the next few years to get her physically active in something she likes. Maybe private lessons like tennis or swimming so she doesn't have to worry about what others think. That coupled with clean eating should make a difference as children lose quicker than adults. She only has a few years before she is an adult and can make her own educated decision to alter life forever. Good luck to you. You are a wonderful parent to be even willing to do such a drastic thing for her happiness, but I personally would wait.

Before and after 11 months !

So inspiring! I am a 44 DDD and can't wait to buy a bra from a regular store. My starting weight is 230 and I'm hoping to be sleeved first week in August. Insurance already approved just waiting to set a date. I hope my story has a happy ending like yours. How are girls holding up? I'm worried about excess sagging after surgery since I'm so large Pre- op

    A Fib Drama

Sorry for your scary experience. I am Pre-op so I have no idea if it had anything to do with the surgery, but I have had superventricular tachycardia and had a catheter ablation to have it taken care of. I definitely remember how scary it is. Please seek a cardiologist if the symptoms persist so they can discuss treatment Options with you, if needed. They may want to put you on a beta blocker to treat the symptoms. I take one that works for that and my HBP. Good luck and hopefully it was an isolated incident.
