Use this time to change your habits and get in the mindset of how things will be the rest of your life. I read how people stop smoking, stop soda habits, kick fast food addictions to the curb and start to implement healthy food choices and water habits. That way you'll already have a good routine down for after as far as choices go

I would love to hear the answers on this as well. I'm going to be in a similar situation but sub your kids for my dog. I'd rather recuperate at home with my pup then in a hotel room

I have two. The attached is of my maple leaf in fall color on the top of my foot. It's in memory of my niece, Autumn, who passed away. I have another tattoo on the front of my shoulder of a butterfly. The butterfly is 8 years old and very faded. I want to get a sunflower put over it next summer to Celebrate my surgery and journey

Tried 2 more today Syntrax nectar- apple ecstasy. Oh my god, how disgusting was this! If you like apple flavored candies, you'd probably love it. I, however, do not! Unjury- strawberry- pretty good! Mixed it with a container of cherry yogurt I'm just about done trying my sample packs of unjury and syntrax . Just tried these by Syntrax nectar Vanilla torte- too sweet for my taste. Smell was strong like Protein shake Double chocolate- very good! Not at all Protein Shake tasting nor bad with the smell! Roundisashape, check out amazon for the syrups. They sell a few different variety packs for a great price or tons of different flavors single. Just read the reviews before you take the plunge and you should be safe. I'm actually surprised at how good the syrup tastes. I'm not a fan of artificially sweetened things because of that weird fake taste but I never would've guessed this stuff had no sugar! I want to try peach or orange next. I've read that some people mix with plain yogurt too to get Protein that way but can easily mix the flavors without adding calories Sent from my iPhone using VST

Okay so I am going to piggyback on this. I bought the sample unjury pack and created my own sample pack of Syntrax nectar (bob's bariatrics) and have tried a bunch this week. So far it's the SMELL that's killing me so I'm trying my best to not breathe as I drink them. Unjury- chocolate- tastes a little like chocolate milk. After taste was a little weird Syntrax- Black cherry- yuck! Took one sip and dumped the rest strawberry mousse- super sweet and kinda bland. Did not finish this one Fuzzy navel- pretty good! So far my favorite of the fruity ones. I did add a couple pumps of cherry lime sugar free torani syrup Roadside lemonade- it was okay. Added a couple pumps of sf cherry lime syrup Double stuffed cookie- good on its own. Also added a container of vanilla yogurt to it in my Blender Bottle to add some creaminess to if and it's great! Will be buying a tub of this one All of the syntrax samples I mixed with Water. The unjury sample I used unsweetened almond milk. All were mixed in a small blender bottle. Love this thing! I am pre-op right now until January. Getting into the habit of drinking a shake for breakfast!! I'd say reach out to your surgeon. It's for your safety that your surgeon know absolutely everything about you and how to keep you safe while you're out. So far all my tests have been mostly covered by insurance even though they will not actually cover the surgery. I've had to pay small amounts-- maybe 100 out of pocket do far. They ran like 13 different blood tests, EKG, sleep study, and a lipids panel . Insurance has covered over 1000 so far. I'm not sleeved yet but I had kind of a funny moment when I was out to breakfast at cracker barrel. My friends all ordered normal meals of eggs, pancakes and sausage, etc. I ordered a side of toast ( due to being massively hungover ). I order fine but when the food comes out, a manager actually came over to make sure I got all my food (yup, my toast is here!) and oh no! Do I not like what's on the menu?? It's hard being so excited about something and not being able to share it without fear of judgement. I've only told my parents and twin sister. I've told 2 people I'm having surgery and will be taking 2 weeks off work. I've caught myself about to share details and realized either 1) they would judge or 2) not get why I'm so excited . I'm not going til January for surgery so it's going to be hard not slipping up! I am hesitant to share with others because I was on the other side when my brothers gf let the family know she was having lapband. My siblings were very judgemental behind her back. I'm low on Vitamin d as well. My PCP told me to take 1000 IUD a day. Spoke to my surgeon today and he said I need to up it to 5000 IUD a day for at least 10 weeks so I end up with 50k units Sent from my iPhone using VST
