hi everyone.. I'm in Houston in the humble/summerwood area

Im 5'5 and weighted 258 lbs when i first begin to look into the lapband program. i kept putting it off. so i decided to try the per op diet before i see the surgeon. on July the 15th i weight in at 226 lbs. my surgery date was set for july 30th. on july 30th i weigh in at 211.5 lbs. as of today i have not lost one pound. kind of discourage. so as of today I'm taking back the torch. i went on a 1 1/2 mile walk this morning. i get my first fill Thursday. i have to take control..

thanks alot, and yes its a fill he had too take some out the day after surgery because i was having problems.

I'm not going to lie..i had a few stumbling blocks but i made it..chest pains, shortness of breath, arm/shoulder hurting etc...but it gets Sweeter everyday....

@myshine84 the gas x does not work for me...i been taking the phazyme softgel and what a relief i have i wish i would have know that from the beginning.

@myshine84 thanks alot. please keep me in your prays. I'm having some hard times ..... its not so much of the Lapband i think its the repair of the hernia....it feels like i want to burp but i can't and that hurts bad all in my cheat area....

just was told by the docter in ER no more gas ex.....to try the soft gel gas relief phazyme.......i just farted what a relief.....now i just need to burp and i will feel better

i have not had a desire to eat... the gas is hell......to scared that i will make the gas worst.......just don't know what to do......

the pain was unbearable for me..so i went back to the ER....smh..i had both done a hernia repaired and the lapband done....i could not and still cannot bear the pain....I found out that the doc primed my band and left some in the band i had to go and have the solution remove until i heal some...feel just a little better but not much...i need help

I'm not in Kentuck...but i do know for sure that gas pain is not something to play with....this is my 1st day post-op and its much better..but yesterday after surgery around 6pm I was being escorted to the hospital by my mother....

I just was band also but on the 30th..yes sir the gas is hell...my mom rush me to ER last night because of the gas..it felt like i was having a heart attack..then i still had to go too the Doctor this morning becus during surgery he primed my band and left the solution in the bands....So know that is all over and I'm comfortable I'm about to get some shut eye... by the way i can sleep on my left and right side.....that's the good part......

my day was horrible..had surgery came home and went to bed for 2hrs. got up and walk every hour...had to be rush to the ER for chest pains....

I'm so excited today is my day....The only problem i have is that i woke up this morning with a headache...uuugggghhhhhhh......

today is the day....2 hrs and 15 min to go then i will be band..

@Rwsample - I'm in Houston also..i understand just what you are going through...the ones i thought would be supported was not (just a few of them). my daughter is my number one supporter and my mother. lol my daughter just want me to get to her size so she can borrow my clothes... everyone else feel that since i lost 15lbs in 2wks on the pre op diet i can do it without the band.....like i tell them all easy said than done. the band is just a tool it don't hold calories.
