  1. Good luck! We will be here on the other side.
  2. Good. Hope everything is going well and you continue to feel better.
  3. You are doing great. Your body is withdrawing from all the carbs. The good news is that within the next couple of days those cravings will be a lot less painful. You are not the only one who has cried during this process. We all had strong love affairs with food. When we were happy, sad, mad, tired, stressed. You name it. You are mourning that loss. The good news is that you will be in control of food instead of vice versa. Good luck and we are here for each other.
  4. Donna I didn't have problems with diarrhea til after surgery. I actually ended up in the er today because I got dehydrated from all the stools. They checked to make sure I didn't have an infection but it was probably because everything I eat is liquid. Make sure you drink enough fluids!
  5. Yea that was pretty bad. I am not feeling as well this am as I did yesterday. I couldn't sleep as well after that either. Rough. I think I will sleep by myself til I am completely healed. Hopefully I will feel better as the day goes.
  6. Words of wisdom. Becareful sleeping with someone. My husband just threw his arm across abdomen on accident in his sleep. Oh ouch.
  7. How is everyone doing so far banded/preop diet?
  8. Walking and deep breathing is the best thing to do. It will help your body reabsorb the gas that they used to inflate your abdomen.
  9. I am in full liquids right now. I was told to eat when I'm full. I was banded on Aug 6 th I get to go on mushy foods in a week. Will be on that for a couple days then get to eat real food.
  10. Jama I am excited for you. I am 3 days post op and today is better. I woke up today and I am feeling better. Make sure that they give you long acting pain medication when you are awake enough to swallow. Get on top of the discomfort and take the pain medication routinely for the first few days. You will do great.
