I usually get about 75-80 grams of protein a day. I drink 2 protein shakes and one protein bar and then I have dinner. I try to track as much as I can but I am always running around after on of the kids so I do forget sometimes. And I do cheat sometimes. I feel like if I don't indulge every once in a while I'll find myself locked in a closet surrounded by candy wrappers lol. I have spoken to the nutritionist at my doctors office and she said just about the same things you said and to be patient and the weight will eventually start to come off. But I have been at the same weight for about 4 months and it's getting very frustrating. I have to be doing something wrong that maybe ok not realizing.

Hey everyone. I have had my band for a year and have been very successful this far. Except for one little thing. I have been stuck at the same weight for a while. I only have about 23lbs until I get to my goal but I can't seem to break thru this plateau for anything!! I am def in my green zone as far as adjustments. I have 8.8 cc's in my band. I only eat about once a day cause I'm truly never hungry and I try to exercise 3-4 times a week. Any tips or helpful hints to help me get back on the losing track?

Hey everyone. I havent posted on here in a while but I need some advice. I am 4 months post op and I noticed that I am losing a ton of hair everyday. I take biotin and a multivitamin everyday but it doesn't seem to be helping. My hair has gotten much thinner and it's very upsetting. I spoke to my nut and she said to make sure I am getting atleast 80grams of protein a day. I don't think I am getting that much. So here are my questions........any one else on the site experience hair loss? Was there anything you did that helped not lose as much hair? My nut suggested I incorporate at least one protein shake a day. The one I used to drink body fortress I just can't get down anymore. Can anyone recommend a protein powder that tastes good?? I appreciate any help or advice you guys can give!!!

JULY 2013 BAND BUDDIES
aggiemaggie replied to sprinkle715's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Banded on July 10 and down so far 43lbs. I've had 3 fills for a total of 6cc's in my band. I have some restriction but I still find myself snacking which I want to stop before it becomes a problem. I'm never really hungry but I struggle with head hunger. Hopefully when I finally get in my green zone maybe that will help!! Glad to hear everyone is doing so well!! Keep up the good work ladies and gentlemen!! :-) -

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share....... I went thru my closet today and found and old pair of jeans size 12. I was beyond excited that they even went over my butt, when I could actually button and zipper them and they fit I couldn't believe it!!!! I was so friggin excited!!!!!! I even sat in them and it didn't feel like the button was gonna pop off and ricochet off the walls or like I was squeezing myself to death lol. needless to say it was a good day :-)

I had my first fill today. My doctor told me after an adjustment you follow 2 days of liquids, then 2 days of mushies and then you can go back to eating solids! Your doctor may be different, so I would definitely talk to him/her when you see them! Good luck :-)

Had my first fill today, 1cc. So far I'm doing really well. Lost 11lbs in 4 weeks bring my total weight loss so far to 36lbs. I'm so excited and proud if myself! Definitely the best decision I have ever made!! Love coming on this site! Everyone is always so supportive and it helpful when you read that someone else is going thru the same thing as you.....you don't feel so alone or like your doing something wrong! Hope everyone is doing well all g their journey!! :-) -
I feel great!! I go back to see Dr Fielding on the 23rd and he said depending on how much more weight I lost he will decide whether or not to give me my first fill. I said the same thing about how much less I'm eating. It really is such a difference! I haven't been to any of the supports groups recently. My husband used to have the band and so does a few of my in laws so I'm pretty familiar with what to expect. But I remember in the beginning if my husbands journey going with him, and they really are very helpful and informative. I just started doing some exercise this week and I have so much more energy! Definitely the best decision I have made to better my healthy and way of life!! I'm glad to hear you too are doing so well! Good luck to you!! :-)
