I love to cook. I pureed everything from Chili, Stuffed Peppers, chicken w/gravy & ate like that until they said I could have more solid foods.

Why is it so bad to drink wine with the Band? Is it only for the calories? Thanks

I was banded on 10/2/13. Have lost maybe 25 lbs. Had 1 fill on 11/7. Think I should have lost more weight. I can eat anything. Nothing bothers me. Is this normal? 2nd fill is on 12/16. Thanks

I am not losing weight as quickly as I thought I would. What am I doing wrong. Was banded on 10/2/13. I lost a total of about maybe 25 lbs., think I should have lost more. Went for 1st fill 11/7. Can eat & tolerate anything. Is that normal? Next appointment is Monday 12/16.

What is the first fill like? Does it hurt? Is it a 1-2-3 process? My 1st fill has to be in the hospital. A little nervou. Thanks

Surgery was the 2nd. Everyday gets better. Still sore & gassy. Unreal how the gas goes to your shoulder blade. Today is the 4th day since surgery. Can't say I'm hungry but still achy. Moving better everyday. Hope all goes well for everyone!

Hi, Only 2 more days to go. October 2nd is my surgery. I am a litte afraid of what is happening & what I will feel like after. Tomorrow, I see the Dr. for consultation, I guess, before the big day. How important is the pre-op diet? I have 10 days till surgery. There is more to the diet than just drinking the protein shake. I have my pre-op testing tomorrow. I guess bloodwork. Looking for a buddy in the Clifton, NJ area. Anyone around here having Lapband Surgery?
