I was banded in 7/24 and had my first fill today.. I found out I have a 9cc band... My surgeon tried really hard to find my port with no luck... He used the ultrasound to find the right spot.. It is roughly 5 in below skin level... So pretty deep... He stuck me in 2 different times with no avail... He did use a local anesthetic to help with numbing.. Thank God.. He couldn't get I kept hearing the needle brush against the plastic.. It kind of freaked me out... He then went and got his PA and she ended up getting it in.. So I was poked 3 times.. I hope that never happens again... I had 2.5 in my band from surgery and had almost 2 put in today.. So I am a little under 5 cc's... Keeping water and soup down with no problems... Hopefully next time won't be as rough.. Really sore tonight.. Liquid lortab here I come!

Interested in what you have left... But I live in Wisconsin... If I paid you for shipping would you be willing to ship? -
I struggle to find things to eat daily and was looking for some new suggestions for all meals and snacks... I look forward to seeing what everyone else is eating

I am 2 weeks post op and had a half of banana yesterday and today... I am on the soft food stage... It tasted wonderful! No problems what so ever...

I was floored to see that the scale moved so much in one week... I was weighed at the hospital morning of surgery and was 309.. Today 1 week and 1 day later I am 294... 15 lbs down such a surprise!

So I was banded in the 24th of july and everything has been going fine... Or as expected... But today I am feeling super crabby and down.. I am on puréed foods but I just really miss being able to eat! I went back to work today for 6 hours and have a desk job.. That really wore me out.. So I thought maybe I was sad because I was hungry and tired but I think there maybe more to it... I am not sure how to explain it but I just feel so emotional... Anyone else feel this way?

Thanks for the kind words and support.. I am curious to see what you have to say about the emotions you are feeling after your fill?

It seems as though my incisions and my whole tummy area have been itching like crazy.... I was banded on the 24th I know they are healing but its driving me crazy.... I still have steri strips on and plastic tape stuff... Just wondering if anybody else has this or has any suggestions to help lighten up the itching...

Thanks you.. All of you for the support you give... I really appreciate it! I look forward to all of your responses as all are a little different... I know this is just a phase and hopefully it passes quickly... I do know in my heart that this was the right choice but I just have to get my brain to believe it

July 25 is my day
msidders79 replied to That Girl 79's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey y'all... My date is quickly approaching as well... I am set for July 24th I unlike most of you don't have a preop diet to follow... Not sure if that is a good thing or bad thing... I am enjoying some of my favorite foods this last week of freedom... I am 33 and have 4 kids.. I work full time and also go to school... I am currently 5'5 and weight about 300lbs.. My heaviest was 335 and that was last September.. Phentermine helped me get that weight off... I am super nervous but so ready to get this over with.. I am sick of the unknowns... So hopefully this will be a great success and we can all lean on each other for the well needed support that will be so greatly needed!! -
I am super excited ... Nervous... Anxious... So many mixed emotions... I've never had surgery before and now I am set to be banded in 7/24... I do not have a preop diet I have to follow.... I have been waiting for a long time for this and I can't believe it is finally happening... Any suggestions out there from anyone will be greatly appreciated...

So exciting to have someone right behind me! Please keep me updated and let me know how it goes for you... Thank you for the list of things that I should gather before surgery... Hope the preop diet goes well and you don't loose your cool ???‹
